I've spent 30 years in Real Estate, as an investor, developer, broker, lender, and property manager. I left the brokerage community to become an investor, ran a very successful real estate portfolio and really enjoyed it. Fast forward to 2008, well you know what happened. So I came back to brokering and quickly realized that every strategy I knew no longer worked. I had to turn to the internet for leads to compete. While on that journey, I developed a new found love for internet marketing. I am so glad that I found WA and know that I can develop a system that can not only create a steady stream of income but also marry the two passions together.

AMENDMENT JAN. 5, 2018
I have had a lot of setbacks, but I am determined to master internet marketing. I am starting the new year off with an upgraded membership. I will now be able to reply to all that have posted on my page. I am eager to receive help from everyone that has offered. This is a great place to learn and meet like minded people that I will now call my "Internet Family".

I love coming by to read people's profiles because I think it's so fascinating to see what people's interests, hobbies and "real" jobs are/were.

I'm glad you decided to give Wealthy Affiliate a real try. I learn so much here. From the trainings and from the members. I'm constantly expanding and growing.

I think you'll find the same thing. There's so much to learn. And it's constantly evolving. Which makes it interesting and exciting!

Lots of success to you in 2018!

Hi Nurit,
Good to meet you. You have a great profile and a stellar background.

I am newbie myself. Learning from the ground up. I love the education and taking in as much as I can. I just went Premium myself. Everything I've read about it has been positive.

At the moment I learning about creating a niche. All roads lead to fashion. Haven't decided yet.

During the day I am an Independent Rep for multi- line showroom in New York. I've been in the fashion business for over 25 years. And... oh my... how it's changed. I have had a rocky journey in the business for 4 years and forced to reinvent myself once again! It's all good though and I'm looking forward to seeing the light again at the end of the tunnel.

Congrats for taking this step! I have a good feeling you will do very well.

My best

Wow, it sounds like you've been through it like me!! I went through a complete lifestyle change when my husband had a massive heart attack and passed in 2008. I too have been in the process of reinventing myself. This is a wonderful place to learn and grow. Everything we need is here.

Fashion. I love fashion, there are so many ways you can go with it for a niche. Isn't exciting to reinvent yourself?

And congrats for taking the leap.

Hi,
Firstly I'm so sorry for your loss. I cant imagine how that must have shattered your life. So hard to come back from something like that.Yet, here you are once again seizing your life and making every lesson count.
Congrats to you too for taking this leap. Knowing you are not alone makes it s much easier.
Believe it or not- fashion is not my passion anymore. It's just my business and how I make a living ( a much, much smaller one these days). I do love clothes, shoes, accessories, make up and shopping!
The part I get most excited about is learning. This is my passion. I am an educator at heart would love to find my way back to this somehow.
How about you. What's your passion?
Look forward to sharing ideas and thoughts together,
My best

My passion.......That is what I'm stuck at, (passion is the same as finding a niche, BTW). Everything I used to love doesn't have the same meaning anymore. So I dug a little deeper and asked myself to remember the moments when you felt really good about yourself, what were you doing? It took days for it to come to me, something that can't be forced. And it always boiled down to physical activities like when I earned my Sr. Brown belt in tai kwon do, or when I finished the 50 mile bike ride with a group. Or cooking, and so on. And then I thought, what do you spend your day doing? And it dawned on me that I, too, love learning, I spend a lot of time researching and that's what I'm good at.

I would say that you are good at writing, very good. And If you can identify what you love to do, and how you spend your time, heck, carry a journal and document it, you'll be surprised at where your passion lies.

Yes, it is hard to come back from such a tragedy, and I'm still a work in progress. But I look at it like this, we all have our share of painful experiences, I just stayed in line longer and got a bigger share! lol. But our experiences do not define us, it's how well we adjust to change that defines us. And here we are, this time we are not late to the party. We are in what is being called another industrial revolution. And this time we are on the ground floor and we are going to take the elevator all the way up to the top if we play our cards right.

Learn, grow, and have fun

Enough said...

Thanks for listening

Hi
Being a good listener is in my DNA. So it comes naturally to me. Added to this I think its important in to listen to other peoples stories especially one as heartfelt and authentic as yours. So it I, that thanks you for sharing your story with me. Thanks also for your compliment about my writing. This means a lot to me.

Ill share with you what I found out when I decided to learn how to build a website as a side project last year. Suffice it to say, the passion question came up. I dug deep but all I could come up with was dogs and chocolate. Though I am obssessed with dogs, my own especially and I adore chocolate, I didn't think back then that these subjects made good business sense.

Anyway, one day while listening to a webinar I heard the presenter say that your passion is the one thing that comes naturally or easily to you that other people have a hard time or struggle with!

I dont how or why but what she said totally resonated with me. Suddenly it all became crystal clear and my passion was magically revealed. I picked up my pen and started scribbling all my ideas down. They poured out of me and by the time I was done I had over 30 points written down.

So what was the big reveal? The one thing that comes easily to me that other people struggle with?.......Merchandising! I have always been able to curate outfits and accessories so they all work together. I've been doing this easily my whole life and even more so in my job. Its the one thing I can honestly say I enjoy most about my job and that I'm pretty good at! My friends and colleagues have always turned to me for styling tips. They still do.

In the end I built my website about Wardrobe Styling. I never did anything with it. Maybe I will. But my point is. Merchandising is a skill. It can be taught. But I have always had a natural talent for it. Much the same way as an artist, singer, mucisian or a writer.

I don't know if this long story will help you tap into discovering your niche or passion.. But I'm hoping it might.
Good luck Nurit. I look forward to hearing more about your choices.

Happy weekend.
P.S Wow! Sr brown belt in tai kwon do! A 50 mile bike ride! That's exceptional.

Hi Nurit! Thanks for connecting with me. I, too am a single parent and have made the most of it but I understand the struggles. I just started with WA last week and I have a whole bunch of ideas so I'm trying to prioritize by first learning the system and starting with a small niche. I have had a revelation this past weekend though and your background in real estate and property management would lend greatly to my idea. I have a lot of family and friends in Canada and the recent weather has got everybody who can afford it trying to escape the cold. I worked for a few Tour Operators in my twenties when I first moved to Florida. I want to set up a network of Condo owners in Florida, starting with the Gulf Coast, so property owners, not just timeshare, can increase their property leases. I know a lot of people have their own websites but I wonder if there is a way we could network them together and make a small profit. Perhaps have an affiliate link to a few car rental companies as well. If you have any ideas, I'd love to bounce a few around and see what we could come up with. In any case, congrats on going Premium, I didn't hesitate to join after reading a few reviews and doing a few webinars with other companies.

That's a great idea. I too have a problem honing in on one thing. I get so many ideas and get so excited and I try to implement several concepts at a time. That why I'm here too, to go thru a structured set of goals and stay on topic

Interesting Canada concept. I do have some ideas. We can work the "vacay by owner" like VRBO.com or Airbnb or Florida's rentals by owner. Tie that with car rentals by owner like toro.com.
I can go on and on. Maybe we can talk? I like your idea. I think we can go somewhere with it.
