Let's examine usage of hashtags, to get a better idea of how to use them for sites such as Instagram. You can also use the techniques and repurpose campaigns, for example on LinkedIn.
Rules of Engagement: Use some discretion, brains, tact, finesse ( ask for help if it feels awkward ).

There is not really a hashtag bible that I know about. But there is an etiquette, just like being a good social steward of internet community.
Where can you use hashtags?
This deserves some research that is niche-specific and creative intuition. There isn't a magic potion or holy revival of hashtags. Just a small part of all things we must try to learn as marketers. Taking all with a grain of salt. Or salt all around the margarita rim.
Are these doohickeys going to die off? The hashtag has been around since 2007.

I was reading Amazon Kindle regarding the use of hashtags, in a beginner guide for Instagram. I recommend Wealthy Affiliates who want to know a little more, try out this easy read that was free for me.

I like the team there, Coeurd'Alene Texas Road House had 300 people waiting and 300 sitting last night. We still had fun and they cleaned up smiling and dancing. Peanuts flying every where, grilled salmon and sirloin was good. But the people were the most inspiring to me. Home town country line dancers, my daughter's choice so I waited blogging ☺ and might have met a future Wealthy Affiliate who looked me up on Facebook.

Where are hashtags used? As Nurse Becca has mentioned, primarily in social media networks. The power of hashtags, connect your audience to you. Not only does hashtags provide this traffic but they provide a way of communication to one another, and a conversation amongst a group that is built amongst the community, which leads to more traffic, leads to higher ratings, which leads to the development of more growth, which leads to more development of more knowledge and information.
#hashtags are one of our best friends when it comes to online communication. It is what we use to get and give the information needed for proper education. It is what we use to share our information with to help and be of benefit to others.
