Hi everyone! Is there a lesson or video lesson that shows step by step how to put in a picture affiliate link into our blog posts? I know how to highlight a word and add an aff

Here's how to make a link with images: Hope that helps Anna!

Thank you!!

Thanks! That video was simple and easy to understand! Thanks!
Question. Do you have a video on how to set up landing pages, obtain emails and then in turn send out the newsletter/pdf file to the person who signed up from the landing page?
I hope that makes sense?

Thanks!
Anna

I don't have a single training for that, there's a lot of steps in that process. However, Jay has some great webinars on the topic. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes/email-marketing-2018-1st-steps-to-list-building

Look up "email marketing" in the search bar and Jay has done several video series on the topic, so there's several hours of content on the various steps needed to do what you want to do there. Check 'em out!

Thank you! I was trying to find specific videos but wasn't sure where to look! I will take a look at those!
Thanks!
Anna

Good answers here, Anna!

Ok when you add a picture in wp on the right hand side in the media library itself it gives you options. .One of those options is a custom link In that space add the URL you want to direct the traffic to, let me know if you can't find it send me a pm and I will make a video

AHHH, yes! THANK YOU! I'll give that a try.

Hi, I'll try to find a lesson for you.

However, it's pretty simple. Once you upload the image, you should have an option to enter the ALT text, Title, then if you scroll down, you should see the option to enter the link

Thank you! I will give that a try!

Anna

Hi, this may help

It was for amazon. But thank you! I will use the link they give me. I just wan't sure how to use the picture link.

Help!! I am so lost and have not idea how to fix my errors so that I can use Adsense on my website.

I have attached the message that I have gotten back from Google Adsens

Great question and great answers

Sorry, Anna, I can see lots of problems with your website. I suggest you don't worry about fixing your application for Adsense and instead concern yourself with fixing your website to make it a better experience for your readers.

Change your theme. Try GeneratePress it's lightweight and very customizable.

Create and use Featured Images to provide a bit of eye candy. Fix your menu. Add an Affiliate Disclosure page. Add a Medical Disclaimer to EVERY page. Clearly state that you are not a medical practitioner and that readers should consult their own medical adviser. Google search for appropriate wording.

These are the main points you'll want to fix so you can move forward and start making a profit.

Thank you!! I knew I had lots of work to do, but wasn't sure exactly what I was going wrong. I've been doing the training, yet clearly have missed a bunch of stuff!

Yes! Medical Disclaimer! Thank you!

Hey, you've already got lots of content happening so it's not like you're starting again from scratch. You've got this covered, girl.

Thanks for the advice and help! it is MUCH appreciated!

@marionblack - I have installed the generate press theme and I think this will be perfect for me!
THANK YOU! I will slowly do all the other things you are suggesting! I am so glad that you replied to my question! Thank you!! I have added you to my follows so that I can keep in touch with your training and blog posts here on WA.

xo
Thanks again!
Anna

That's a huge improvement right there, Anna. Just do the other stuff one step at a time.

I will! Thanks again!

Hi - I wonder if it's because your site is difficult to navigate, and therefore doesn't give a good user experience? You dont have a menu, so visitors cant find your posts without scrolling.

Plus, all your posts are open in full, rather than just showing an excerpt. That means visitors would have to scroll all the way through each post to reach the next one.

Not sure why they say no content, unless your posts contain copied content.

Hmmm you may be right. I have not gotten to the point in training that shows me how to do a menu, or how to just show an excerpt on my website....unless I missed that in the training!

Thanks for your insight!
Anna

Take a look at Level 1 Lesson 8.

Google needs to see that you can keep visitors on your site, and realistically, people wont scroll in the hope they eventually find something. They want to jump straight to a post they might want to read.

Well i've clearly missed something that needs to be fixed!
thanks!

That is weird... Have you still not added content to your website? I see from looking at your profile google ranked your website but you had not added any content at that point. Maybe that is why they are not approving your adsense because there is little to no content.

That is just my guess.

I have blog posts on my website.

Maybe I don't have enough content yet.....

That could be a possibility. I have not even checked to see if they have approved my website. I'm personally trying to avoid using google ads and having my own on their that can potentially make me more money than they are willing to give.

Thanks for the help and advice!

Ok, so I have created a landing page. I want to use this page so that people click on it, provide me with their email address and I then send them a free guide.

I am tryi

If you click on "live events" you can search for "email marketing" to get a full series from recent years, and more from years past. Jay just did a series in August 2020, and here's the first one:

Thank you!!!

Has Abie's reply helped? Sorry I cant suggest more.

Have a great day.

Trevor

Have you checked Jays live events.

I have. I can't seem to find anything.

I'll check these ones out! Thanks!

Ok, so now I've connected my website to google analytics. I followed the lesson instructions step by step. I have opened my website in a separete tab and looked around my webs

Featured Comment

The first step in process is knowing the IP you want to block. By simply typing in “WhatsMyIP“ into Google’s search bar, Google will display the IP address of the computer you are using.

The following steps will allow you to create a filter within Google analytics filter that blocks your activity from showing up.

- Open Up Google Analytics
- Select the Admin Option on the Menu bar (Should be on the lower left)
- Select Filters from the View Column
- Click the Add Filter button
- Enter a Filter Name
- Choose Predefined for Filter Type
- Select Exclude from the [Select Filter Type] dropdown
- Select Traffic From IP Address from the [Select Source or Destination] dropdown and enter the IP address that was displayed when you typed WhatsMyIP in Googles Address bar.
- Select That Are Equal To from the [Select Expression] dropdown
- Select Save to save the filter

Referring to stopping tracking your own clicks on Google Analytics, here's the training: However, if you installed Analytics correctly but have not done the training above, it should show you on the site. It's possible that you need to wait a day or two for Analytics to start tracking properly if you just installed it a few moments ago.

A really helpful reply from Amelia.

It looks like it is already blocking you already.
Lily 😊

Good question, Anna! Watching the answers!

Hi! Is there a difference between affiliate links that we put into our blog posts and affiliate promotions?

I am on Lesson 8 of Level three of the affiliate training. I

I see Marion has you covered. A helpful reminder. Thank you for asking.

Have a greatbday.

Trevor

Your tasks are to add different methods of generating income to each of 3 posts and create a new product review post.

1. Add both advertising and affiliate links
2. Add only affiliate links
3. Add advertising only
4. Write a product review post

Thank you for clarifying!
Anna

Hi Anna,

Usually, some merchants will have some promotions going on by giving out discounts for a short time (1 to 2 weeks for example). So the affiliate link for that particular promotion will be different. They will send us an email with the link and information on how long the promotion will be held.
