Super Affiliate Challenge Progress Update 2
Kyle's email for the third month of his Super Affiliate Challenge dropped into my Inbox a couple of days ago, reminding me it was time to do another report on my progress in the Super Affiliate Challenge, to keep myself accountable.
My previous post was about the amount of work involved in this challenge.
Things have slipped and I'm now 1 month behind where I should be.
Up till now, I've managed to write 12 posts ranging from about 1,000 to 3,300 words. So at this point I have completed Month 1.
I have now received 54 comments spread across most of those posts, some from outside the WA community.
One of the posts was a Wealthy Affiliate review - a required post in the Challenge. Despite promiting this page in several places, it hasn't generated a single free signup to WA, let alone a paying member. So that's disappointing.
My page rankings continue to bob about. My site - Email List Building Techniques - was #1 on Bing for several weeks but not is not even in the top 100 pages now. The site was briefly #1 on Yahoo but again it's disappeared from the top 100 pages there.
Of the 87 keywords I'm tracking in Jaaxy, only 4 are appearing in the Top 100 in Google, none higher than page 4. None of pages, nor the site itself is ranked in Bing or Yahoo.
After changing the design of the email list optin form I put at the bottom of my posts, I did get 4 subscribers.
Ads and affiliate links on the site have not generated any sales.
Looking at my Google Analytics stats, the site got 111 visitors in the last 28 days (about 4 per day). That's up 2,120% on the previous 28 days.
The bounce rate is 65.78% for the same period, down from 80.28% in the previous 28 days.
The time people stay on the site is 3m 25s, up from 2m 52s in the previous 28 days.
And my WA Rank has dropped to 330 from somewhere in the 900s.
So those are all good signals.
I did find some software that cloaks Wealthy Affiliate, JVZoo and other affiliate links so that they can be posted on Google Plus, Facebook and other social media platforms. I won't post an affiliate link here, but if you're interested in the software, send me a private message.
In early April I was given pre-release access to a new tool designed to help crptocurrency enthusiasts to make winning trades and better investments. A lot of my time went into using that tool so I could write an in-depth review of it prior to the product's release.
Then I had to create a bonus page to direct likely pospects to. I also spent a lot of time promoting it on social media platforms and on safelists. So all of that took me away from continuing to build out my WA site.
With all that out of the way, I can now get back to the Challenge and starting Month 2. If I'm lucky, I may catch up with Month 3 and be ready for Month 4 when it drops in May. :)

It really sounds like you have been busy. You handle the "bumps" in the road very well. Keep looking for the silver lining in t the clouds. Thanks for sharing.

It's driving quality traffic that's my problem but maybe that's addressed in Months 2 & 3 of the Challenge.

Hey Gary, thank you for sharing. Wow, you have been busy. I think you are doing very well in your progress. Quality content is important and we have to feel good about what we do.
