I was wondering if anyone could help me with getting started on adding affiliates. I am a little confused on how well my site needs to be in order before applying, how hard it i
Any website you have is ok for joining affiliate program. Infact, most affiliate program don't require you to even have Website. You can sign up for the program and share your affiliate links through social media too. But, website having poor content have small chance of earning through affiliate program due to its low traffic and low conversion rate.
So, would it be better to add affiliates to my site then work on getting views? That way I possibly earn a little bit... Or work on views then get affiliated?
you can add affiliate right away to your site. Then keep on improving your site. Presence is important. Who knows, someone might see your site and buy through your affiliate link thereby giving you your first dollar.
I picked up a book on Amazon, "A Quick Start Guide to Affiliate Marketing: Answers to the Questions You Should Be Asking" by Evgeni Prussakov. It's a Q&A as opposed to a how-to book. He goes over some important information about engaging with affiliate programs. Lots of nitty gritty information, that is important to consider before signing on the dotted line. I have the Kindle app on my laptop so was able to download that version. I think it cost all of $1.99.
Follow the training and you will learn how to install Google analytics. That will give you an idea of how much traffic you're getting.
Before you get too overzealous with affiliate programs, your website should be getting atleast a few organic visits a day, otherwise you'll be wasting effort.
there are numerous affiliate networks like commission junction (www.cj.com) or Rakuten Linkshare, (www.linkshare.com) these networks house 1000s of affiliate programs spanning every niche.
Getting accepted to affiliate programs is generally pretty easy, they look for how much traffic you're getting, how relevant your site is, and very rarely, the other programs you're affiliated with. That being said, a good majority of the affiliate program on the networks like CJ and linkshare auto-accept applications.
If you cant find what you're looking for on one of the affiliate networks, you can always go to Google and search for your tentative product + "affiliate program". using Apple as an example "apple affiliate program." From there, it's as simple as applying on the respective website and awaiting acceptance!
Thank you so much!
where exactly can I find out how many views my website is getting a day?

Hi Nicole,
There are a few methods to find out the daily visit volume your site is getting however from all accounts the method that gathers more support is Google Analytics since it is FREE and very powerful at providing the real time data on your site, it is a bit complex to set up initially but as with everything in life once started it gets easier.
If you can afford it, go PREMIUM, you get one hell of a lot more support and tools, videos etc, all will help in attaining results faster, the quality of content is well worth it. Website hosting, a lot more training, a fresh new video launched every Friday nights on specific topics of great interest to marketers, the collection so far numbers over 200 videos.

Hello!
I just got my website up and running, however I can not find my page anywhere on google! When you go to the build my website, and click all pages, across from the t
Yes. I would put it in your title and once in the first paragraph and once in the last paragraph.
You are positively going to damage your site if you just going adding lots of different keywords within the keyword part for all your pages. Get rid of now!
You want to use the keyword phrases in the title of your article and somewhere in the first paragraph and anywhere else that it fits naturally. If your site is new you probably won't find it right away. It can take several weeks for a new site to indexed. Just keep creating new content and you will rank :)
A short SEO description is fine. I don't think it's recommended to go nuts with the others.
