Product Reviews One-to-One
What is your next product reviews?
Being an affiliate marketer, our main task is to help people out there with the information they are looking for on the internet. The easiest way to achieve that is through product reviews.
Whether you are creating blog-shop or e-commerce site, product reviews are great, not only for the search engines but it gives you the opportunity to build trust with your site visitors. People are searching for product reviews before they make a purchase to make sure the money they spent is worth it.
Test products before review
Some marketers recommended that the best thing to do before writing any product reviews is to test the product yourself. In some situation this is possible but in most cases, it is not possible for you to buy and test a lot of products before you can write reviews on it. It's just not practical!
So where to search authentic information about a product for your review?
Amazon sites, in general are great places to go to do your research, whether you are writing general product reviews or specific product, amazon has it all.
This is something you can try to get information you need for your next product reviews. It is easy, effective and free. (That's something everybody is looking ya :)).
Keep in mind, the "write with intent" is still very much applicable here. I don't recommend you to write product reviews with too low price tags. It's not worth your efforts and time. You can argue with me that as an affiliate marketer we are here to help people solving their problem, answering their questions and so on but at the end of the day you also need to see your bottom line (your pocket).
Disagree? :)
Amazon Bestsellers
To start with, we are going to Amazon Bestseller pages.
AmazonBestsellers.
In this section, you will find Top 100 products in each product categories, 20 products in each page. This is a great place to go to search for information for your product reviews.
My style
I would recommend skipping the page one and go to page 2 onward.
Why?
Most people using this technique would choose those products appeared on page 1. So, if you stick to page one, most likely there are already people who has written reviews about the products. This is just an assumption. But if you still like to write product reviews for the product on page 1, go ahead.
In this example, I am going to do research about Binoculars which I want to post on my site about 'Camping' and I want to write product review on some cool and latest Binoculars.
Once I have chosen a product I like, I will open the page on a new tab. I open it on a new tab so that I can easily go back to the page to see other products later.
In this product page itself there are a lot of information you can gather for your reviews. Remember you are here to look for information about the product. Please do not copy the information by copy and paste. It's against what has been taught i here WA. :)
But here's the amazing stuff.
Just below the product name, there is a link to 'Customer Reviews' - here you can see there are 988 customer reviews on this product alone!
Another section, just beside the Customer Reviews is Answered Questions - you can see there are 80 answered question for this product.
And a bit below that area are some other similar products you can check. This is great if you want to write products comparison.
To recap what you need to check at the product page,
- Read the product reviews from Amazon clients
- Go to the Q& A section of the product
- See other similar products
Hope this will help you to get some ideas to start writing product reviews.
Work Smart, Don't Work Hard!

I agree with your assessment on product reviews. I know that in my household, we don't make a purchase - especially mid range major purchases - until we first look up the reviews on a product. Thank you for the thorough info. I can tell you worked hard on it and I am sure everyone who reads it will appreciate it as much as I do.
Fantastic tip Joe! I’m totally going to check this out ASAP. I have no doubt there are many untapped review ideas within these pages. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for that Kim.
Link is working now. It must be lost during the copy and paste.
