Trying Something Different

I was running my website(s) using various Free Themes that were available on the internet and in the WordPress Express theme market place. My sites were running just fine and they were climbing in the search engine ranks, but not as fast as I had hoped...

And then I found a theme that I really liked from http://www.studiopress.com/...

So, I bit the bullet and purchased the theme, and I applied this them to one of my websites just to try something different...

So that you know, StudioPress themes use a framework called Genesis.

The Genesis framework builds onto the existing WordPress framework and adds some additional features that are really cool and exciting. Genesis provides the following features to WordPress;

• Search Engine Optimized (SEO) - the pages/post are optimized for search engines and therefore you do not need a SEO plugin installed

Once I had the StudioPress theme and the Genesis framework installed on my site, I went through the simple customization and configuration steps as outlined on the StudioPress website for my theme.

I was then able to remove several plugins that I no longer needed because my theme and the Genesis framework had replaced them with similar functionality.

I did some quick testing on my own using sites like Alexa and PingDom to see what the page load times were... I was amazed to see how much faster my website was loading. Once I was happy with all of the changes and updates I let the site run on it's own. Only adding content occasionally.

Initially, I only purchased a single theme, I installed this theme on just one of my websites. However, over the following months, I tracked the performance of my site in the search engines and was surprised to see how quickly my pages were beginning to rank and how well they were doing too.

I found that trying something different paid off!

Since my initiation into StudioPress and the Genesis Framework, using this one website, I have become an avid user of the StudioPress themes. I now use StudioPress on all of my websites and enjoy all the features and functionality that this combination offers.

I found that by Trying Something Different all of my sites are now performing exceptionally well!

P.S. - The genesis Framework and the themes available from StudioPress are all WA compatible.
