1000 Percent Increase In Revenue Over 6 Months
I started a new site last year, one which I'm spending a lot of time an money on developing. I'm mostly working on using display ads as a source of revenue, which is a new, exciting, and frustrating challenge for me!
The good news is that I've seen a 1000% increase in revenue over the past six months.
The bad news is that it only means I went from $0.10 to $1.00 per day.
There are two lessons to learn from my blog post here!
One, is that you should count your small successes. In six months, I could be making $10 per day. In one year, I could be making $100 per day. Beyond that, maybe $1000 per day. Anything is possible.
The other lesson is that you should be skeptical of sensational headlines.
Every guru schmoe out there has an exit intent popup that says "Learn how to increase your subscriber list by 500%" or "Watch how I jumped my Amazon earnings by 30% with this one simple trick".
Check out the details before you get excited because I've seen with my own sites over the past five years that amazing results rarely happen as a result of one single change, nor do they happen overnight.
When you boil down several years and hundreds of hours of testing and experience into a single headline, yeah, it sounds pretty cool. But it ignores all the other stuff that goes along with creating results like that.
Good luck being productive today guys. Keep up the good work!

If it was that easy everyone would be doing it , the beaches would be more crowded than ever. It does take work thanks for the reminder.
Great post Nathaniell and I agree no matter how small it may seem a success is a success and it grows, lets face it the might oak does not start out that way.. have a great week to
Good blog Nate. Maybe you could also explain in more depth regarding display ads. That also interests me.
Thanks
Yeah this is definitely not a "get rich quick" scheme. We have to put the effort in to get results. Your headline did catch my attention though and it is a good point that you mentioned to watch out for those as a huge percentage jump may mean only a slight monetary jump.

Yeah, really good points. I have been drawn to sensational headlines and always been disappointed. So that's been a hard lesson for me. I trust more in hard work and dedication.
