I have a website that expired beggining of March, so just under 30 days. Can I still renew it and have it keeps its age with Google?

BkobBarrhas great advice! Follow it!

You should contact your registrar to find out what options are available. Some have grace periods that allow you to renew at no cost beyond the new registration. There can be a charge applied (I've seen $80) during what's called a "redemption period".

Here's an article about GoDaddy's process:

https://help.hover.com/hc/en-us/articles/217281557-How-to-Recover-domain-names-in-redemption-at-other-registrars

Not sure, it depends where you got it from. I would try and buy it back right away.

So here I am again, back to square one, but its ok as I've learned a lot. So, I think I've discovered my niche and it's something I'm passionate about. Which is 'weight trainin

First of all, how in the world are you doing?! lol! Now about this niche, I think the topic of weightlifting and muscle building is a great way to start, but I think it can be broken down a lot more than just that and I think that's what might be having you questioning this "niche".

Getting involved with just bodybuilding will be a bit overwhelming and of course the topics around it are going to be covered by all these body building sites. My suggestion is to narrow it down even more and you'll see a brighter future with your final decision.

Let me try and help you chop this tree down so you can see the bigger picture and use your knowledge to help you grow this new niche.

How about focusing on a specific body part? There's a ton of stuff to talk about with even just "arms" alone and do remember that you should be talking about other things and not just arms.

Abs? Neck? There's a lot to cover and be the expert in.

How about a specific demographic? Not just a demographic, but one looking to do something specific.

Skinny men looking to bulk up
Skinny men looking to grow their arms

There's so many ways to go about this whole body building thing and it's actually pretty crazy if you sit there and try to target that specific group of people.

In the end, try to stay away from the broad side of things and hit that small niche if you want to see results without getting overwhelmed.

Make sense?

It does John, thanks a lot for the insights! I think you nailed it, it does seem like a broad niche and there are many ways and angles to approach it! Still playing with a few ideas, but I like your suggestions.. I've fallen off the horse a few times here at WA so this time I'm really thinking things out about my niche as I don't want to fall off again! LOL! Thanks for putting the time in to help me out! Looks like your rocking it! People like you are a great role model for newbies, or guys like me that keep falling off the horse, to aspire to! :)

No more falling off the horse man! You can run some ideas through me and I'll let you know what I think. PM me to make sure that I get it too.

will do thanks a lot John ;)

If you are passionate about it, go for it!
It sounds like it could be a profitable niche :-)

If its competitive then their is money being made in it. I think I found something that might help you but use this as a guide to help you with your weight training and muscle building niche Read the fist comment its the same post but its broken up (easier to read)

Hope this helps..

Awesome article bmark, gets the brain juices flowing! Thanks a lot!

You're Welcome

Yes, I think you have a really good niche. Going for something with a lot of competition means that it's in high demand, so you know people are already looking for it. And there's always room for one more person. Especially if you have already found good keywords to target using Jaaxy.

My first website was in a very specific niche with almost no competition and is doing well. My second website is in a very broad beauty niche (TONS of competition) and is also getting traffic because I targeted low competition keywords.

Also, don't worry too much about picking the wrong niche. You can always build another website (or 50 lol). Start with something that you can write a lot about so you can go through the training modules and keep up your energy and momentum.

Thanks kdev! Great insights that help! Glad to hear you're doing well-as well! :)

Hi folks,
This is a rather long question but here goes... So I'm at 3.7 in the Bootcamp, and I've just set up my Google analytics. Well, it's saying my site has had zero-nad

I wouldn't worry about any of this stuff just yet as both of your sites are still babies. Check back in a couple of weeks and you will see a change. Focus more on building out your site and it will pay off, no matter what your site trust looks like.

Good to know, as long as i'm not blacklisted by Google, LOL! Thanks again for the insight John ;)

Hahaha, definitely not blacklisted. You are going through what they call "the Google dance" so your site will soon be up and down. Once again, keep chugging forward and you will then be unstoppable.

Oh ok cool, I can handle the Google dance ha ha! Good to know for sure ;)

It will get irritating but just know it is part of their BS process. lol

Gotcha, sounds like a right of passage or initiation LOL!

Lol, I guess!

I would really like to see an answer to your question too, because I'm gonna start the affiliate bootcamp soon. What I know about the Google trust is that it increases 5-10% each month or a little more. But I didn't know that it continues to increase even if you're not adding any new content to the site.

I didn't either, unless theres some weird glitch going on with mine?...The Bootcamp is great though, I say go for it!

Howdy WA folks! So my question pertains to the WA Bootcamp, I've heard here and there that it is a highly competitive niche. Which I'm sure it is. However, if you follow the tr

In the past I worried about this too - how everyone from WA would end up with all too similar blogs. Yet, considering the audience - over a billion at a rough guess, it's worth competing for.

definitely dancinscot! :)

As long as you do your KW research thoroughly and put your personality into your writing, I'm certain you will be fine :)

absolutely agreed, thanks for the encouragement JudeP :)

You are right my man and there is literally too many products and keywords for you to handle on your own, so I don't think it is going to be that hard to compete in any niche. If you put in the same work you would any niche, you will get the same results.

Awesome, good to know! Like you said its a big world out there, so there's plenty for everyone!

As long as you put in the work, there should be no reason why you can't beat the "competition".

Yes. If you constantly write post and reviews, research and create rich with information pages, sooner or later visitors will come to your site and will check Wealthy Affiliate. Follow teaching of Kyle, webinars from Jay, surround yourself with great people here. Good luck:)

Thank you for the insight NemiraB :)
