Hey guys! I've got a good start on River Valley Rescues, and I need some feedback. Let me know what you think?

Hello Nancy, your site is coming along very nice. My knowledge is still limited to be give you the constructive criticism you ask.
Hi Nancy, your site is looking good it just needs to be tweaked here and there. I agree with the comments put forward by the contributors as shown below. Irv.
It looks like a real good start. Can you rename "recent posts" to "blog posts" or something that would let readers know these posts are your blog?
Your blog is hard to find. I would move it to your primary nav bar.
You need to start developing your opt-in list of horse lovers and people who want to support your efforts. I would develop a membership site where people who want to learn about horses can subscribe at a monthly fee. You also want to develop a continuous cash flow. Set up a non-profit so contributions can be tax deductible. Use https://www.patreon.com for crowdfunding because it is designed to attract people who want to support causes.
You have done a great job of telling the story which is essential to attracting an audience. Just be sure to incorporate keywords into each post and page. You have done a good job of using images, but I would use more video to tell the story of these horses and what it takes to care for them. Let potential donors know how much more you could do with more funds.
Thank you for the tips. I built it geared more toward finding homes for the horses, and didn't consider fundraising. I will definitely discuss it with my clients now, though.
I really appreciate that!
Site looks professional. You might want to put links in a sidebar or header rather than the footer where it tends to be less visible.
Please use the existing SiteFeedback/SiteComment system. Asking for help outside of this system deflates its value.
I ask for it here because this is not my personal site, but a client site, therefore not open for viewing by just anyone. I got permission from my client to get feedback within my network, but not site-wide.
