Have You Ever Noticed Something?
Hello Guys 'n Dolls,
How are you today? I hope doing well!
So, I had to redo my Google Analytics setup on one of my websites. The numbers just did not 'seem' right, so I opted to redo it.
And guess what?
I just happened to visit and was looking at the 'real life' overview and it is just awesome! I found it great to just watch the people come and go...of course, the longer they stay - the better - however, it was so nice just watching the numbers change and you get to see the links that they are visiting and the source (mobile or desktop).
Have you ever done that?
What happened and would you like to share?

It brings back memories of my first discovery of 'Real Time' on Google Analytics. I was fortunate that my first website gained traffic early in it's life. It wasn't because I was 'clever', because I wasn't. The reason was the niche, being mini-schnauzer, and those little pups being so popular.
Anyway one evening I explored Google Analytics and there I found people on my website. I was blown away and returned often to watch them moving along the post, and check out the countries they were in.
That was 2010. I still have that site, but seldom look at the activity. Because the latest Analytics version tells how many people are on the site, it sort of spoils the fun. However, it saves me time which I should be grateful for - and I am.

Analytics real-time is something that gives great insight into what people are doing on your site "NOW" and in real-time. It's good to see how content is consumed and interacted with!

PS: I noticed that when you posted your blog you included a large image at the top of your post, as well as a duplicate "title". I deleted this for you because the new BLOG layout shows a cover image at the top of the page - next time you don't need to add an image at the top of your content, the cover image takes care of that :)

I should really consider doing that, Michelle. My numbers are very good. By doing that, they could not get worse, only stay the same or get better. Great idea!
It's just fun to watch when you have a few minutes to 'goof off' though I KNOW you don't have kinda time...lol

It good to know that you have decent amount of traffic coming to your website. So far I have like 2 or 3 persons daily visiting my site mostly through social media traffic. It's not much but hopefully it will get to where I want it soon. Before I didn't have any traffic coming in so I'm happy its picking up slowly but surely.
Yes, it takes time, Sara. But keep doing what you are learning and things should change.
