Some of you would have seen or read my blog entitled "Two New Ventures" which I post back in November 2014. In that blog I informed that I had two amazing new venture on the horizon and I shared about one in a bit of detail. Well, unfortunately, the one that I shared about, the purchase and ownership of a local small business, has fallen through, for now at least.
Truth is, I actually made a conscious decision not to go ahead with it. Reason being, I was going into the venture with a partner but over the past two months, that individual has proven themselves quite unreliable and unwilling to fully commit to the preliminary logistics that needed to go into acquiring the business. I therefore decided to cancel all business plans with the individual as that type of behaviour is not good for a business partnership. I foresaw a multitude of challenges in the future and I preferred to avoid that. At the moment, I have no one else who is will to enter into a partnership with me to purchase the business (and I do need a partner to share financial and physical investments) so I have given up the opportunity.
I am disappointed because it would have been a very profitable investment but I am also relieved that I detected the problems now, before I got too involved, rather than later. Later would have been much worse. I have not given up on the prospect of owning a small business locally though, hence I have returned to the drawing board. It is still very possible, I just have to delay those plans for a few months and do a bit of restructuring. With my faith in tact, I know that nothing shall be impossible.
As always, blessings and success to everyone.
