Give unexpectedly

According to recent studies, the vast majority of people prefer gifts that are unexpected. Expected gifts do fill our buckets, but for some reason, receiving things unexpectedly fills our buckets just a little more. The element of surprise just add more value. And the gift doesn’t have to be anything big to be successful.

An unexpected gift doesn’t have to be tangible either. It can be a gift of trust or responsibility. Sharing something personal or entrusting a friend with a secret can fill his bucket.

In your own interactions, look for opportunities to give small gifts to other out of the blue - maybe a funny little trinket, a hug, or an offer to grab a cup of coffee. Even a smile can be unexpected and cherished gift. Consider unexpected sharing as well. What books, articles, or stories could you send someone that would positively influence his or her day.

As you fill someone else’s bucket, you realized that you are filling your bucket as well. And as you continue to fill other people’s buckets, you learn about their strengths as well as yours, then there is growing confidence, productivity and direction .

A great post, and so true. I love unexpected gifts of all kinds, more so than expected ones. To me, an unexpected gift shows they care. My best friend once told me that the best gift I ever gave her was at a low point in her life when I told her that whatever she did, whether it was something I would do myself, I would always support her in her decision. Turns out it was a good decision for her.

Nancy

That's inspiring Nancy! That unexpected gift was priceless! I love your story!

Cheers,
Maria🌹

Oh, by the way, "Bon voyage!

Excellent post here, my friend Maria!
You're right! When we provide unexpectedly, we surprise and delight the people we're giving to, and we also experience the joy of giving without any strings attached. It can happen in all areas of life, from small acts of kindness to grand gestures of generosity. Ultimately, giving unexpectedly is about spreading love, compassion, and positivity.

Have a blessed Sunday evening,
Much love,

Joyce

I'm doing ok here, my friend, thank you!

Enjoy your weekend,

Love and care,

Hi Maria

I totally agree!

About 80% or more of the gifts I give to Stacy are for no particular reason except that I was thinking of her.

They’re gifts that truly come from the heart! 😎

Rock On! 🤘
Frank 🎸

Awesome Frank

Thanks, Catherine!

I’m a very lucky guy. 😎

You are, but you are aware and grateful for that

Absolutely Frankie 🎸😎!!!

And you get sheer joy dong that I’m sure!

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

I do, Maria!

And, of course, I give her gifts for all the usual holidays and birthdays. 😎

Frank 🎸

My family know better than to expect Christmas and birthday presents from me. They get one if it is the perfect gift, but generally I buy unexpected gifts when I see them, and give it to them immediately. Why wait for an event where I will probably have mislaid the present anyway

Mine too.

I think that you cannot over estimate the joy of an unexpected gift, for both the giver and the recipient

I agree with you on this Catherine 1000%

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

And it offers unmitigated joy when you do Catherine! For some reason unexpected gifts brings more weight, and offers exceeding bliss!

They do indeed

I couldn't of expressed this any better.

You always, add more reassurance, reinforcement, perseverance,
sheer determination, an un formidable, very bondable, bucket filled richly with plenty of unexpected, unsuspected, special gifts, and/or, thoughtful, invoking, inspiring, and memorable, memorabilia, trinkets.

Hahahaha Gail! 😀😂😅🤣

That was beautiful, Maria. Have a safe weekend!

We should give freely with no expectations, Marioi, like you have done with me a few times. I pay things forward to others all the time. It is a fulfilling feeling for sure!

Great message!

Jeffoi

It definitely always reward the game giver in the same way as the recipient Jeffoi!

It always is, Marioi! I have done it many times where I live.

Jeffoi

I ‘m sure you do Jeffoi!

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

Yes, even if it is a free job for them too, Marioi! It always comes back around, but even if it doesn't, the feeling is warm and wonderful!

Jeffoi

I agree with you 1000% Jeffoi! It is as fulfilling!

😌🙏

🤜🏻💥🤛🏻 😀 😎

Great messag-spot on!

I was able to do something yesterday, for my sweetie, that surprised even me and it made her day. She got a little choked up.

She gave me a ride and ended up with a flat tire. She was upset about having to probably buy two new tires, as the tires on her car were old, which is why she got the flat in the first place.

I borrowed her car for an appointment. On my way home, I stopped at the tire shop and put four new tires on her car.

It felt good to be able to afford it and it not only made her day, it relieved her of a financial burden that she was stressing about.

Thanks for your message.

Bob

That was very inspiring Bob! Don’t you feel euphoric when you give unexpectedly and the response of the recipient exceeds more than absolute delight?
I believe all these feelings that I am able to post stemmed from what we did with the Medical Mission a week ago.
Well, thank you for sharing this Bob!

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

Absolutely agree Maria. What beautiful thoughts you have.
You really are an angel. 🌹
Bux

Oh Bux! That’s a little too much! But thank you that you think of me that way.

Cheers,
Maria 🌹
