Letting Go...
Goodness me, it seems like I've been away a lifetime. Hello again my fantastic WA friends, and a very Happy New Year to you all!
Various things have prevented me from returning to WA as soon as I would've liked, some good, some not so good, but I'm back now and raring to go, at least for the time being.
I'm waiting to hear from the hospital about a relatively minor operation I need and I think it's going to happen quite soon, so that'll muck things up a bit. There's nothing I can do about it, so I'll cross that bridge when I get there. It's funny how there always seems to be something ready to 'put a spanner in the works' just when we think everything's under control!
I'm pretty sure many of life's ups and downs are to do with control, or lack of it. We're all control freaks to some extent, even if we think we're not. Between us, we waste a lot of time and energy trying to control things we really don't need to, just because we're fearful of what the future holds.
I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, but my top tip for a happier, less stressful 2015 is not so much to abandon all control, but to keep and eye on yourself and be a bit picky about what you choose to try and control. Understand that we don't have the power to influence everything and everybody, and nor should we. In other words, try a bit of letting go, you might just find it empowering.
Wishing you all great success in 2015, and beyond!

Good afternoon my friend Peter, It is so good to be here too and to read your post as the first today. :) I'll be thinking and sending you light and love while you're going to get the operation. And here's wishing you the best of the best of health, joy, prosperity and all the good things. 2015 will be nothing else but GREATNESS! Trust me! :))
