Complete Garbage

Hello. This fell into my inbox today. WTF? I particularly like "This important expiration notification notifies you about the expiration notice" Hahaha!

It looks quite official doesn't it, but I can't find a single sentence that actually makes any sense!

:)

Unfortunately there are people who would actually fall for that

Yes, sadly you're right.

Thanks for the info.

Looking for their next victim...lol
Thanks for sharing, Peter. Take care!

1

They didn't waste any time in finding you Peter! I think this is one bill you don't need to pay! :)

2

Thanks for the info, will look out for such a scam:-))

2

Ain't it right when you purchase your domainname at namecheap you get the bill of namecheap? Where did you buy it? At this SEO Service Corp? At least you have some stuff to write about scammy bills:)

2

I used to get these types of emails years ago, before I put privacy on my domains. The scammers would even use the name of the domain registry that I used. As long as you know who you bought your domain from and that you're in good standing, then you can toss it. I would put privacy on your domain though, then you won't get these anymore.

2

Hey Peter.Do you own a domain with that name and if not just delete it.I once bought a domain for American independence day as I thought I could make money from it,I never used it and occasionally I would get an email from go daddy tell me it is up for sale again.I just delete them.

The domain is mine Mark, and at first glance it looks quite official, but closer inspection shows the whole thing to be complete nonsense!

1

I have received these through "snail mail" in the past. This is one of the reasons I like whois guard.

2

A new type of scam?
is there whois, on that domain?
