The Great SEO Heist or I Can Outrank You
I got Lexi to give you a great Paul Harvey Into ...
Well now, friends, you've stumbled onto a secret whispered in the alleyways of the internet. A tale of cunning and code, where content, once crafted with care, was pilfered by bots and rewired for algorithmic gain. Imagine, if you will, a digital David facing a Goliath of AI, their words mirrored and multiplied, all in the name of search engine supremacy.
Stop me if you've heard this before... To reach the top you need to create content that stands out, outranks everything, and stands in the #1 Position on Google. Every top website from Forbes to Coursera to WebMd got to the top for a reason. They create great content and people trust their opinions. They earned it. How can you compete with that? Someone had an idea.
What comes next will make you think!
You Emulate (Mimick) What Works
According to Google, nearly 35% of all revenue goes to the number one SERP position. Your goal, my goal, and everyone else's goal is to land that top spot for our niche. To do that you do the research, find the top-ranking questions, and create better answers.
If your top competitor is in the top spot, do you give up?
Did David give up when he faced Goliath? To compete, you need to create better posts. Today creating better posts is as easy as asking Lexi (or BRAD, or Claude) to review a post (your competitors) and to make suggestions on how to improve upon that post and get it published.
Here comes the rub. There was a question posted within our walls
"Do you link your website and social media content to your profile? "
I do, many people do not.
The reasons are legion, but I believe that this concept that we follow is partly to blame. There are 2+ million members in Wealthy Affiliate. Are there 2+ million different niches or is there some overlap? I bet we have quite a bit of overlap. So when we find a ranking post to improve upon, was it one of our unknown members? Was it a known member? Is this why you don't share your website or social media accounts? But I digress...
In my niche, I know who the top bloggers are. I know what they have written about. Some of their content is outside of my purview, some are dead square in my lane. My goal is to jump in front of them with thought-provoking posts to garner some of their traffic and make my income. In many cases, I am succeeding.
You, me, and the other new member of Wealthy Affiliate are small fish in a vast ocean of niche blogging. What harm could taking a competitor's post and improving upon it do? AI and our Content Creator make it as easy as 1-2-3-4.
- Review Competitors post
- Suggest Improvements
- Create a new post with the improvements.
- Publish the new post.
It works. We get ranked. We get traffic. We celebrate the win.
With AI All Things are Possible
Now imagine that we supersize our efforts. I want to start a new tutorial business on the best uses and procedures on how to use "Product X". Using our theory of evolution if we can take one page and improve upon it, post it, and call it our own, why not take all 15,000 pages, use AI to improve upon all of them and call it our own?
Just the Facts
Interesting concept. This scenario was real and it played out over the last 18 months.
The Culprit: An online marketer used AI to automatically generate thousands of articles, copying or heavily paraphrasing Excljet's original content.
The Target: These AI-generated articles were published on a competitor's website, aiming to steal Excljet's search engine ranking and audience.
The Impact: Initially, the heist worked - Excljet saw a significant drop in traffic, while the competitor's site shot up in rankings.
The Aftermath: Excljet revamped its SEO strategy and investigated the issue. Cybersecurity experts helped them expose the AI-generated content, leading to potential legal action against the perpetrator.
The Takeaway: This case highlights the risks of low-quality AI-generated content and the importance of strong SEO strategies for protecting your website's online presence.
Paul Harvey in closing...
In this cyber sleuth story, the trail of ones and zeros leads not to riches, but to a stark truth - originality still reigns supreme. So sharpen your quill, my friends, let your voice ring true, and remember, in the grand marketplace of content, authenticity is the only currency that never depreciates. Now go forth, weave your magic, and leave your mark on the digital canvas.

I'm kind of on your side.
I do not know who you are at this moment.

I am all good with you.
Paul Mindra.
Google me.
"Paul Mindra."
Paul, The Open and Close was my AI version of Paul Harvey. The story itself was real. I was unaware of this "Heist". So I created the intro.
I will always try to pass on something useful and thought-provoking that I stumble across.
