I'm looking at potentially buying a domain with one of the newer TLD's and am curious to WA's stance on it. Does the process only work .com domain names or can other domains be

Yes, but from an SEO standpoint, think about it like this. What is the first extension that comes to your mind? You thought .com, didn't you? That's the thing, the general web visitor is going to type .com by impulse, in my opinion. So, even if a .net is available, I would look for another domain name with my keywords in it that I can grab the .com.

That being said, I do have a few .net domains that get good traffic. Food for thought! :-)

I don't really think it matters but I believe .org tends to be used for non profit sites..

You can use whatever you like, but I think most people would recommend to use a .com if available.

.com's are easier to remember and I personally trust them more than the new tlds.

You would get ranked the same, though.
