My Organic Traffic Journey On Wealthy Affiliate
Hello friends.
Everybody wants it, everybody needs it: Organic Traffic!
In the following I want to show you how my organic traffic evolved in the last 6-7 months.
This is not to show off!
I am sure that there are people out there who get better organic traffic than me, but I want to show especially the beginners what they CAN expect when getting started with Wealthy Affiliate.
First my stats:
Month 1: organic traffic = 9
Month 2: organic traffic = 22
Month 3: organic traffic = 55
Month 4: organic traffic = 151
Month 5: organic traffic = 274
Month 6: organic traffic = 303
Month 7: organic traffic = 456
You can see that the first 3 months were really bad. It is obvious that I wouldn't earn much or anything in those months as the traffic is just not there.
Then it suddenly got better and it jumped for 100 or even more visitors a month and then slowed down again a bit.
That is absolutely normal behavior.
You can have good months and you can have bad months. The last 30 days I had 399 organic visitors, but since my stats from above always show the date from the 19th of one month to the 19th of the next month, my 7th month only has 314 visitors for the moment.
I am sure that I will have over 400 visitors in my 7th month if nothing unexpected happens.
Edit: Since it is now the 19th of this month, I updated the numbers above. As expected my organic traffic went over the 400 visitors a month mark.
Remember that this is only my organic traffic.
I do have other traffic sources (direct, referral and social) but my organic traffic makes over 50% of my total traffic.
That is exactly what I want, because I think that this is the most targeted traffic I can get at the moment.
I am aware of other ways of getting targeted traffic and I am going to experiment with those but as of now I am quite happy with my results.
Now, how did I get this traffic you might ask?
I followed the training!
Nothing more, nothing less!
I do my keyword research as explained in the training, write my articles as explained in the training AND IT WORKS!
While you can try and figure out your own ways I simply suggest to stick to the techniques taught here at WA for a few months and see if you can get similar (hopefully even better) results as me.
If you have the energy you can do much more with social media.
I am still not very engaged with that, but I know that you can get great results from there, too.
I hope I could motivate you a bit by showing you another real life example of my site.
Keep going, follow the training, never give up, work hard and you will see results!

I agree that many just quit too early.
While I had really frustrating times I never thought about quitting.
Now, I am still not there where I want to be, but I will still give it much more time. I have reached some of my goals and now it's time to tackle the next goals.
This business needs time!

Yes, I think that many new members will find that useful.
Most experienced members here will say that things usually start to get better after the first 3 or 4 months.

Thanks for posting this. My site is just about 1 month old now so I'm obviously not seeing much traffic. And although I know it takes time, it's nice to see a "real" progression of things.

When I started I was always afraid that I don't get enough traffic, especially when others seem to have much more traffic.
So I decided to show some stats of my website to motivate other members here on WA.
