I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, so take this with a grain of salt. However, if I remember correctly I think this used to be a pretty big thing. There used to be one or more site's dedicated to it. However, if I remember correctly one of the Google updates actually targeted sites that were doing this.
Actually I just did a quick Google search for "paid blog reviews seo" and found some interesting results you might want to take a look at.

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to validate their site to enable "Rich Pins" on Pinterest? I am getting the following error each time I try to validate my site:

I'm actually trying to active the rich pins myself with Yoast and for now, i can't make it work, even with the meta data activated in Yoast plugin.
I'm still having the same error.
Thank you so much for telling me about this plugin. I will try it too as I am getting exactly the same message back from Pinterest every time I try to get approval for rich pins.

Thanks. Unfortunately that plugin isn't compatible with my theme on WordPress so I wasn't able to use it. But I saw a blog comment by Loes suggesting that I turn on my metadata in All In One SEO plugin which I did so I am hoping that will work.
It did for others but hadn't worked yet for me but I have been waiting for Pinterest to update so hopefully...

If it says that Yoast is required (and that makes sense to me), then you'll have to switch over to Yoast. It's different from All-in-One SEO.
I didn't see anywhere where Pinterest says Yoast is required. It's just that I saw different marketers writing articles claiming that the easy way to validate rich pins was to use Yoast. I did, in fact, find one article with a tutorial on using All in One SEO, however, the instructions there didn't help me.
I haven't learned this yet, but I'll put that on my list of training to research/create when I can do so.

I’m using a free theme, but am now questioning whether going “free” is a good idea. With free themes…what happens when you’re years into developi
You can be fine on a free theme and having a paid theme will not necessarily lead to any more success. It is a natural transition and you will know when you are ready when to move to a Premium theme (maybe that is never).
You can build hugely successful businesses on free themes, I typically stick to free themes as I have never needed to pay for a theme to get ranked, to have brilliant SEO relationships with search engines, to create engagement, or to convert very highly.
Thanks so much for your input Kyle…with that said, I think I’ll stick with my free theme for right now. I like the theme and it is currently being updated, so it sounds like that may be my best bet…at least for now. Thank you! :)
It's best to move away from a free theme as soon as you can. The biggest reason is many of the free themes are not update or supported.
With most of the reputable paid theme's they are constantly updated and come with support, many even have private communities for support.
Services such as, Thrive themes and StudioPress just to name a few.

Hi Lorac, I have not seen it on any website that I have visited. In my opinion, It seems to be a 'show off' tool
Prior to about a month ago I had never seen it either, but lately I seem to keep coming across it, and I just couldn't make sense of it's purpose. Thanks for commenting.
Yes, you don't need a live traffic feed on your site. I think it'll make your website look gaudy. The shape of it looks awkward on your page as well. It might cause your site to lag. I think you're making a good decision of not having one on your site.
I don't like a lot of junk on my website. When I'm visiting a website, there is absolutely nothing that will turn me away faster than banner ads and Google Adsense.
I don't trust Google being on my website anyways...and I don't like them taking pictures of my house when they drive by either.
When I visit a website loaded with Google Ad-Sense, or any other type of ads, I tend to have a harder time finding the information that I really need...and with these types of websites, usually the information is not there.
I also hate pop up links especially those links that shows up on your page after hovering it. Annoying!!
I think it's always best to keep your website looking clean from all banner ads for sure. Google don't like clickable images either--so, if you have an image that is clickable, Google may "Sandbox" you. When I put an image on my site, I make sure that it is not clickable.

I felt it makes you see how the site is doing in terms of traffic; and then another benefit is it lets you see which pages the visitors were on. i added a tools/resources when i realised a visitor checked on my resources page;and also a visitor's name is not mentioned just the country of the visitor. the widget still performs well though it has not been updated for several years. it is in my footer at http://www.ghanaonlineworkplaza.com
Hello. I don't use this myself and I know exactly what you mean. I'm sure this feed will make others feel just the same way too.
I think the main benefit if having this on your website is to show off your audience and show how popular your site it. Of course this wouldn't work if your site gets no visitors!
Interesting, I had that same thought....that it's showing off how popular your site is. Yep, sure wouldn't do much good if you can't keep the visitors.
