I'm having a hard time adding another category and sub category to my site: How do I add a category and sub category using the "Appearance" then Menus section of Wordpress? P
Hover over "Posts" then you will see categories. You can create new categories and add posts to them. Then you can add categories to a menu. All You Need to Know about Categories in WordPress
I understand what you're saying but that's not how it's set up in my site. Take a look at the attached.
Great! Yes. if you assign categories to your posts, then your posts will show up on those categories in your menu.

You're looking in the right place.
In the Menus area under Appearance, on the left-hand side you can click Categories (assuming you've got some categories set up),
select the categories you want to add to the menu and click the Add To Menu box. That will add the Category headings as Menu items. Then you can move them about as you like as for any other Menu item.
