Hi everyone.

Today I want to talk to you about the pros and cons of outsourcing your articles. If you're like me, you want to get as much quality content up on your site as quickly as possible.

The obstacles to getting your content up quickly may be:

  • English may not be your first language
  • You're not familiar with your niche
  • You don't have time to write articles because you work full time
  • You're just impatient

No matter what the obstacle is, you can start outsourcing your articles. But first, you need to know the pros and cons of outsourcing.

Pros:

  • You'll get more content on your site faster
  • You'll earn money faster
  • If you work full-time, you won't have to worry about writing
  • You can focus on the things you like doing better
  • You can get through the training lessons faster

Cons:

  • It costs money
  • You have to worry about quality

Benefits of Outsourcing

I say it's worth outsourcing if you have the money. Outsourcing articles doesn't have to be expensive. You just need to find the right company. I'll list some at the end of the post.

Who Do I Use?

I haven't outsourced my articles for my horse saddle site, but I have outsourced for my low-carb site. I use Textbroker.com. I love it because you can choose writers from 2-5 stars.

5 stars being the really professional, expert writers. They're the most expensive also.

For me, I use 4-star writers. But 3 stars aren't bad either. It really depends on the topic you're writing on. If it's a technical topic, it's best to go with 4-star writers.

How Much Does it Cost?

For a 500-word article, if you choose a 3-star writer, it will run you about $10 bucks. If you choose a 4-star writer, it's about $12.

But there are cheaper places to get your articles written like:

  • Fiverr
  • iWriter
  • Upwork
  • Finest Content Writing
  • Writer Access

These places can cost you anywhere from $5 and up. So if you want to get more content up on your site quicker, I'd consider outsourcing your posts.

Excellent article
Very helpful information
Thank you for sharing

Thank you Richie!

Outsourcing is a good idea if you don't have the time to do all the articles yourself.

Derek

Yes, it's a lifesaver for me.

Good idea. It will take some pressure off.

Amen!

This is good information, I have considered outsourcing but haven't tried it yet.

Hi Mary. Yes, it's a great idea if you can afford to do it.

Very helpful post, thanks for sharing with us.

Best Wishes,
Bushrs

Thank you for your comment.

I have heard about it. I am not into doing it yet. Can't help in this. Am sorry.

There you go again getting in my head. I actually was thinking about this earlier today. Thanks for the resources, I only heard about 2 of them before.

You are funny!

Right now we feel we should be writing all our content. First, we have the time and, second, we need the practice. However, we like to envision a time when we will be so busy creating new websites, and generally administering our online businesses (not to mention counting our money!), that we may have to consider outsourcing content. Hopefully, that day will come sooner rather than later. Great post.

I totally understand. As a newbie, it's a good idea to write your own articles. I'm a veteran though, as I'm a writer and I've been an affiliate marketer since 2009.

Still, with my horse saddle site, I write my own articles.

After outsourcing someone to write an article for you are you able to edit the work before posting? Changing things like grammar, length and over all quality.

Yes, I always have contractors submit to me a .txt file, which I can paste into Wordpress and edit prior to posting. NEVER give an outsourcer access to your site. NEVER.

Yes you can. However, if you find a top quality writer you should not need to change the grammar or feel the need to try and improve the quality. I use a guy called Benjamin and I asked him to write each article in a conversational tone, and he does exactly that. All I have to do is add affiliate links if a review post and images. He also comes up with an engaging title using my keyword and always makes sure its included in the first paragraph and somewhere else in the post.

Absolutely! But it's important that you be clear that you want quality work. Spell out how the article should be laid out with subheadings, use contractions, etc.

She didn't ask if she should give them access to her wordpress site.

Awesome. How much does he charge?

True, but I threw that in from experience - some new folks don't know that they should get the articles 'offsite' and then upload them themselves.

Thank you everyone for the info!

Hi. Great post. I do a mix of outsourcing and writing my own content. I actually found an incredible writer from the states on upwork. I use him for everything. His writing style is exactly how I want my posts. He researches everything for you and delivers each article within 48 hours. These are 5000-word articles also. Everything is unique and passes Copyscape. Took me a long time to find him though and went through some awful writers

Wow. I'd love to use him. Would that be okay?

absolutely. He charges $25 dollars per 1000 words. I'll see if I can get a link to his profile on up work. Are you registered with up work.

https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~0111c55ff4e74a1627

This is the link to his up work profile. Worth having a chat first to make sure he will write to the style you like,

Yes I am.

When you outsource an article, do you put the article under your name or do you create a guest writer and upload it under another name? I am sure the writing styles would be different.
