While this data is from 2011, the search for information is eternal and It is hard to find out if any of the search engines listed are totally defunct! If anything Google probably stands at 75-80% now!

Remember Ask Jeeves? Now there are over thirty (30) search engines out there beside the recognized king Google! There are virtually unending streams of ways to find information and search for content.

For those seeking content here are some suggestions. Have a ball looking for different varieties of content!
