Are you aware that virtually less than every minute new cybersecurity infections are hatched! This now is a global enterprise. Makes me wanna cry!
Ransomware is only the latest in a significant onslaught of infections, nuisances and downright threats. Worms, viruses, backdoor infections, Trojans malware etc. We are sure to get a daily dosage!
Most of this is done for explorative fun by gen X and millennial pirates. But on a national scale especially in Eurasia it is instigated for political and economic harm. A good percentage is delivered in retaliatory warfare mode!
Kyle and Carson augmented by a great site support team Have done an awesome job of driving these monsters into a quarantined corral. The upgrades to the servers and https introductions have been a stroke of excellent genius!

I have two software that - by my best knowledge - kept my PC clean or warned me about dangers. Windows Defender - comes with Windows 10 - it's free, and Malwarebytes which has a free unlimited version too but I have the pro. The two compliment each other and as far as I can tell I have not had - knocking on wood - any virus or malware on my PC for years.
Defender does the basic stuff most antivirus programs do. Malwarebytes as the name suggests keeps an eye out for you online at all times in case something sneaky wants to install on your computer through a website you are visiting. You'll be surprised how many websites are being blocked by it what you normally wouldn't suspect at all.
Info Sec is the wave of the future and will prove to be a very high paying career for those that pursue it.
Unfortunately cyber criminals will be refocusing their efforts to find the newest work around.
It's something that we will always have to deal with.

It's a crual world out there! Even if we tend to be vigilant, we get bombarded every day. My spam folder is full of phishing emails and I clean it regularly!!! We really have to read every word and be certain of anything we click on!!!
It is really frustrating to see how these idlers are terrorizing us. I will try to be aware of the threats so I might not get caught. Thanks for sharing.
