Background Images and Patterns

I was buzzing around another forum this morning and someone asked about whether it was a good idea to use background images.

I think that all sites are "personal" and achieving what you want as far as site design can be a big deal for many web designers even the ones that use wordpress for affiliate sites.. yep I'm talking about you!

Having a plain white weblog with an appropriate background image can really make your site pop for the right reasons.

Anyway... without getting too far into should you or shouldn't I'm going to leave you a few links where you can find some cool backgrounds if you or anyone you know is looking for any.

Vlad Studio - Vladstudio is the project of Russian digital artist Vlad Gerasimov . A Funky site for great wallpapers and more well worth a peek.

Squid Fingers - Nope nothing to do with Squidoo, yet almost as cool in awesomeness - almost .. an unusual website - Check the main url after you've seen the patterns

GR Sites - Looks a bit quirky but after a few clicks you soon get the picture, excuse the pun - But again quite an extensive library of free background images.

CG Textures - Or should that be textiles? If it looks like carpet fibers to you below that's because it is! But they've got more than just carpet honest.

Pattern Cooler - Now this is a great site to snoop around if you need a background that really comes ready to pop! great samples & fabulous pallets

Subtle Patterns -and I do mean subtle . It's the name of the site and plenty to choose from if you go into the archives. Too cool for skool here

You should be able to find the right background or pattern among those .. among .. don't think I've used that word for years!
