I Be Ringin' in the New Year with a Vengence
I am not a big "out on the town" celebratory person when it comes to New Year's Eve; especially if it is really cold out. I live in the central mid-western state of Kansas and it can be rather blustery here. Contrary to what might be popular belief though, it's not flat and full of tumbleweeds here. I live less than an hour from Kansas City and there are some really great places to celebrate Christmas and ring in the New Year.
My husband and I however, decided many years ago, when our children were young, that life is too precious to be cut short by amateurs. We celebrate at home with friends. We avoid the drunk drivers, the road blocks and check points, and we don't have to fight the crowds at any given club.
Instead of planning out where we will go and how much we will spend on New Year's Eve, I get to plot my revenge on last year. That's right, from Christmas til the new year, I am thinking about what didn't go so well last year and what I plan to do differently this next year.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't get all down on myself and depressed. I basically just shift to a higher gear. OK, so I'm like, innnn...., gear 35 now. LOL
But seriously, what do you plan for the new year. Do you make resolutions, those things you break 10 hours into the New Year? Do you make a list and check it off throughout the year? Do you set goals, dream big or contemplate the depth of each new decision in your future? Do you plan on approaching this New Year any differently since becoming a Wealth Affiliate?
I'm just curious, how will you be ringing in the New Year?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
To One and All,
~Debra

I tend not to go out either on New Years. New Years are for amateurs not a pro like me! lol....but seriously I will go out this year some; I really enjoy taking uber or lyft and leave the driving to someone else!
I am not familiar with the Uber or Lyft, but imagine it is safe public transportation? I'm all for that!
Merry Christmas,
~D

That sounds wonderful what you have planned....Over here in Dubai it is a chilly 19-22 C lol...For this place it is chilly, but of course in Germany where I spend most Christmases it would be a heat wave (even in summer lots of times!)! Cheers and enjoy!!! Dave : )
Hu Debra, how would you like to live in Calgary Canada? Today it is 12 degrees and getting colder.
Oh wow, yeah, you can keep that. We used to go to the Niagara Falls every year in winter (lived in Buffalo) when I was young. I've had my fill of drastic weather. LOL
Happy Holidays to you.
Thanks, Missa3, I don't like it any better, but that is life! All the Best for the holidays to you also.
Hi Missa, like you we avoid the hassle of attending external private functions, which are normally good, but rather spend time at home with family and friends to celebrate the new year in comfort.

I also have felt that as much as I love to celebrate the holidays along with the New Year - I rather be safe than sorry. We usually celebrate with family and friends that are local. Unfortunately, my mom passed away earlier this year and now my immediate family is in another state. We will be traveling there - but staying there for a few days.
I tend not to look backwards - I always look forwards. I have spent a lot of time getting up from falling down in my life - I don't always look at everything that made me fall. I concentrate on getting back up. However, falling almost always teaches you a lesson, '"be careful, slow down, work smarter, let go of negative items, people, etc..." so I contemplate on those things and get up!!
Nichole, I am very sorry for your loss and do hope that the New Year will be fruitful. Enjoy the time with your family and draw strength from them to move forward. Praying for you and your family to move swiftly through the days ahead and the sorrow it may bring.
