With Free Spell and Grammar Checkers Available We Should Always Use Them
If your content is difficult to read because of spelling and grammar errors, then any chance you have at capturing an audience leaves as soon as they hit the back button to get out of there.
No one will want to stick around to read that kind of content. Not to mention it's hard to make a nice comment if you can't understand it or read it all the way through. It is vital that you take this into consideration when you post content.
Spelling and Grammar Errors make your website look
very unprofessional
As someone else recently blogged about a very real concern. There are a lot of new websites popping up in the Give and Take comment thread here on WA that fall short.
Unfortunately, there is no nice or easy way to say this... The blogs are so badly written, that people are finding it difficult, if not impossible, to leave a positive comment for them.
Even with the exchange of American verses the UK spellings taken into consideration, the still don't read well, or easy.
I know that some people may be working on a computer that does NOT have a Spell check or Grammar application or program (or don't know how to use the one they have), so for those people or anyone else looking for help in that area There is help out there.
This one seems to work well and also does translations, but I haven't tested it to see how well it performs

Of course there are many others if you care to look. The ones I posted here are just the top 4 from a Google search on "grammar checker for free".
I hope those who need it find these links helpful.
As always, best wishes for your success.

Hi Debra, agreed!!' I myself need to slow down, and check for spelling!!
I have left many messages, then go back because I had left something out that I wanted to say!
When I returned to my message, I noticed several missspelled words.
Thanks for the great resources.
Kind Regards
Don
LOL I do that a lot Don. It seems a pain to do, but makes posts and content look professional

Thanks Debra.
Too funny. You beat me to blogging a similar post. Lol.
Well said, and thank you for the tools :)
Oh Kat I hope I didn't steal your thunder. I just saw a post and it was sort of the last straw for me. I had to do it. I think a lot of people will enjoy the links.
Thanks for your supportive comment as well.

Lol!
We're all in this together, so it's always great when we can offer support to each other.
Cheers!
LOL, it was your straw my dear. :-) Just before reading it I backed out of trying to comment on a site just as you had described.
Nicely done Debra - and a great share!
If bloggers make use of available tools and proofread what they publish, their work will be much more credible.

Exactly, even those people like me who think they don't have to, eventually have to face the fact that it is a big plus when you take a few minutes to use a few extra tools.
Thanks for your support Dennis
The reverso link has a box you can tick you take into consideration the UK spellings. I meant to get that mention when I posted that link. :-(

I will definitely try those links although I seem to be having a problem keeping up at the moment.
My grammar is quite good but we all make mistakes sometimes. I mostly use my wife as a spell checker as she does it for free.
I HAVE to use a spell and grammar. Sometime (OK, a lot of times) I type faster than I should and transpose letters in words or worse. Gotta love and thank God for Spell and Grammar checkers!!!
