When you go into the WA site manager, you can click on the link that shows you the details about your site health. You know the one that tells you how much site trust you have

I was the "queen" of rollerskating. I could skate backwards, jump flights of stairs and played street hockey with my neighborhood friends. Then the blades came out and it was a whole new game. You want to know something else, reading this made me laugh aloud because honestly, I have had a herd of buffalo run past me as they were spooked by something. I didn't have my skates on because I was camping but how many people do you know can say that?

* I live on Santa Catalina Island where herds of buffalo roam and in my case, run... They were brought to the island for a film being made back in 1924 for the silent film version of Zane Grey's Western tale, The Vanishing American. After the film was completed, the 14 buffalo remained producing up to 600 at their peak. Just thought I'd share.

Great hearing about this, Susan!

That YOU for stopping by.

I believe it's based on an education algorithm of WA, which is frequently updated with changing info from Google.

The rank algorithm usually adjusts to system changes, and it could also be that in your number area, there was less "activity competition" during that time......

As to roller skating, only tried it once, hanging on to a more experienced skater☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

I haven't been roller skating since I was a kid... could be interesting ;-)

OK, do you know where they keep the buffalo?

Haha... no, we only have Kangaroos here ;-)

Well, no sale, my friend.

Mickey,
I will join you roller skating!
Bobby

It's got to be in a buffalo herd!

Hello how are you doing? Yes everything get indexed on Google.

Check this link out

Hey Alquante,

Mickey is not referring to his Rank here at WA, he's asking about the SiteManager Site Health meter on EACH site hosted here at WA.

Yes, that is what I am talking about.

Thank you for the effort and I appreciated the link, however, it was fairly nonresponsive to my question.

But, again, thank you.

Hi Igor, I have looked, thoroughly, at each one of these and they are not particularly responsive to my needs.

I do thank you for the response and they are now in my bookmarks and I have actually learned a few things about my websites here and those elsewhere...

I need to offer a free 'Special Report' for downloading by the visitor. Do I need to upload it to another server I have or can it be accessed on my WP blog, somehow.

Hi Mickey, you can upload it directly via your WP blog. There're two ways to upload your files : 1- With Wordpress (via FTP) 2- on Dashboard

If your file size isn't too big, I recommend the second way. To upload it on your dashboard follow below steps:
(Please note that you can only upload files with these formats:

Images .jpg .jpeg .png .gif .ico

Documents
.pdf (Portable Document Format; Adobe Acrobat)
.doc, .docx (Microsoft Word Document)
.ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx (Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation)
.odt (OpenDocument Text Document)
.xls, .xlsx (Microsoft Excel Document)
.psd (Adobe Photoshop Document)

Audio .mp3.m4a .ogg .wav

Video .mp4, .m4v (MPEG-4) .mov (QuickTime) .wmv (Windows Media Video)
.avi .mpg .ogv (Ogg) .3gp (3GPP) .3g2 (3GPP2)

Not all webhosts permit these files to be uploaded. Also, they may not permit large file uploads. If you are having issues, please check with your host first.

After you log in to WordPress and click on the Dashboard menu at the top of the screen, you can upload files with the Flash uploader.

Dashboard lets you upload files in the following ways:
Immediately in a post.
Immediately in a page.
For later use in your Media Library.
WordPress supports uploading the following file types:

To Upload a File in a Post
1- On the Dashboard menu, click Posts, and then click Add New to display the "Add New Post" page.

2- On the Upload/Insert menu, click the icon for the type of file you want to upload and the "Add media files from your computer" page will appear.

3- Click the Select Files button.
4- In the dialog box, select the file you want to upload.
To select multiple files, hold down the SHIFT key (for PC users) or the COMMAND key (for Macintosh users).
5- Click Open.
6- When your file uploads, a field appears. At the bottom of the field, click the Insert into Post button.

Note: If you are having problems uploading files with the default Flash uploader, you may want to use the Browser uploader instead.

Here is also full instructions with pictures for both two possible ways:

Hope it'll be helpful for you )

Best,

Thank you for all of that. The report will be in PDF, so you or suggesting, just to cut through everything, to upload it to a page or post and simply offer the internal url for them to go and download it if they want it!

I was wondering about the advisability of sending them to an offsite url and its Google ramifications.

Thank You, again.

Mickeyb

When I do this, I create the report in open office. Then I can move it to Adobe as a PDF and create a URL. I give this URL to the person or persons I want to have it and they can download it right from Adobe.

I have not worked with Adobe as a storage platform, but it seems as if you are saying to offer an offsite url for my reader. I have another domain on a different server, so I could send them there.

My concern is sending them offsite to anything, bt it seems as if that is a forgone conclusion.

Thank You for your insight.
