My Site Has Been Indexed By Google!?
Well, I honestly don't know what that means, I am excited because I have a new badge here in WA, but I really haven't posted any content yet. I have only done my about me page, the affiliate disclosure, and the privacy policy. I thought I needed more content and more time. Please let me know what this means exactly. I am a newbie, and I know quite a bit of this knowledge will come in time, but since this has already happened, I am curious of what it means. I appreciate you all in advance!!!

Rankings in SEO refers to a website's
position in the search engine results page.

content so it would rank on the first page
and position it on top.

Rubbing off indeed! I am surprised and humbled. Thank you for explaining the difference...that does make sense to me now. I still have a lot of work to do, but I am glad to know that I don't have to do it alone! I am encouraged!
Your website itself has been listed in Google. Now it's time to create content so that it too can be listed. Being listed on Google is the first step. Now people will find your content by using keywords that you yourself use within your content. Congratulations and good luck on your furthering people knowing your site is out there.

Getting "indexed" means that Google has found your site (acknowledged it). At that point, you are going to start seeing every new page/post you create get indexed in Google...maybe not on the first page or the 2nd page, but through time as you build out content and authority you are going to be building a great deal of traffic.
So first step, getting indexed (found within Google), then you are going to be working to get ranked higher!
