Comments on Others Websites
Yesterday I made mention on the importance of commenting on each other's sites via WA.
I just want to elaborate a little further today as I feel it really that important to impress upon everyone the importance of site interaction.
Other than optimizing your site properly, interaction on your site ranks extremely high as to how search engines look at your site. Especially if you're in a highly competitive niche. Comments can literally be the difference as to whether or not you get first page rank instead of your competition.
Having said that, when you make a comment on a requested page by a WA member, look aorund their site after you comment and see if there's anywhere else you see fit to add comments outside of the WA envelope.
When I see others making an effort to help me by commenting elsewhere on my sites, you can bet I'm searching them out to repay the favor.
That's why we joined WA right? To help each other out!
Help someone else and it WILL come back to you ten-fold!

My thoughts exactly and I just did this a few minutes ago while thinking that we should help each other's Bounce Rate to stay low.
Also, here is my chance to add my 2 cents worth on the fact that I am seeing comments that are pointedly as to the site health, not to the content, as if we were giving a critique, e. g. "I love the color of your site and it sure is coming along..." I have even seen comments about WA instead of the content.
These comments are not helping each other. To help, would be to ask a question about the content for clarification. This will add yet another comment as the admin replies and you reply to the admin again. I know this takes time. Gotta give to get!
For the most part, we all see this is a great way to help and many really are helping. Thanks to all who have helped me!
Thank you for bringing this up!
Lynne
I think that our comments need to be "meaty" as well. I am finding it great when WA people go to my website and write because they know the value of their words.

Thank you WA
I think it does lend itself to being a trend that if followed, could really make a difference. It really only takes each person taking the time once a week or so searching out additional pages to comment on. I'm commiting to it with the belief people will look and comment more on my site than if didn't search for their other pages.

I so agree. It's a 'back scratch' thing that will greatly improve all our odds of higher ranking. Afterall, we are not in competition with each other, we all have different interests, and we would all greatly benefit. Definitely touching on each page is a bonus when being ranked.
