Would You Be Happy If You Were Richer than at least Half of the World?

Hi everyone,
How we respond to life and our business is often a result of our Mindset.
There's an extreme focus on Billionaires and Millionaires in my opinion.
What would it take for you to be richer or more wealthy than half of the world's population?
Based on the 2018 Global Wealth Report provided by Credit Suisse if you have a net worth of just $4,210 you're richer than half the people of the world!
Many on Wealthy Affiliate are going to fit into that.
To be considered in the top 10% of the wealthiest people worldwide, you only need a net worth of $93,170.
Another question is, Does being wealthy equate to happiness?
Obviously not.
True happiness comes from Mindset and its a personal choice that comes from Inside of You.
You don't need any externals for you to be happy, but so many people focus only on the externals.
What if you have a net worth less than $4,210? Maybe you really don't.
Have we ever considered:
Integrating into Net Worth:
- While not part of traditional net worth, one could create a "human capital account" where:
- Skills, education, and mindset are converted into a monetary value based on market rates or potential future earnings.
- This value would then be added to the tangible net worth calculation, giving a more holistic view of an individual's total "wealth," including their capacity to generate income and grow.
You have Value!
Its often ignored in calculating net worth. I say it should be included.
What's perhaps even more important is that you are living life on your own terms.
I hope this was in some way useful and perhaps encouraging to you.
I believe we are ALL Wealthy even if we just don't realize it.
Change your Mind, Change your Story.
To Our Success!

You are so right Mel. The truly happy man is the one who appreciates what he has. It is a mindset. If we learn to appreciate all that we have we will feel full. But if we do not learn how to appreciate what we have then we will feel empty no matter how much we obtain in life.
I just need enough to afford that remote cabin off-grid in the mountains, with my library of books, three dogs, and a small boat for fishing, Mel.
As you said, true happiness is a mindset. Is actually starts right now, inside of us, wherever we are.
Appreciate the post!

I heard someone wealthy say that while money doesn't give you happiness directly it does give you choices. Those choices bring freedom. Freedom and choices might equate to happiness but money itself no. If I can earn enough here on wealthy Affiliate so that I don't need to worry or struggle with day to day living costs for my family then I will consider myself to be very fortunate yes.
Thanks for sharing Jacqueline!
That's true as well. Having choices can mean a lot. Obviously its almost impossible to prepare for every possible negative event that can come into our lives, but the more access to cash we have the easier it would be.
I'm comfortable where we are right now as a family, but we are also not prepared for potential emergencies that could happen so I'll keep building on what I have.

Rich never equates to happiness, nor I have seen those that try to compare themselves to others. This is very interesting data though, as many people feel as though they there assets are dictating why they are not feeling fulfilled or happy.
But the reality is you want to be happy and fulfilled, that is the true sense of being. And then if you are able to do that while earning revenue from your passions/interests, that is the ultimate combination (and this is what the internet affords us f all).
Change your mind, change your story. Love that Mel and thanks for sharing!

Great message. I think the way we value our life is skewed. If we look at happiness as some form of money need, we will never be happy.
I like how they do it in Bhutan, they got rid of the GDP ( Gross Domestic Product) to value life and they introduced a happiness index instead. By the way it is one of the hardest countries to get into and the last time I looked it cost a few thousand in “ entry tax” but not called that.
Be like Bhutan and not BezosI say.
