Treasure Hunting In Business
(Cover Photo: Treasure Chest full of Goodies)
Hi everyone,
One of my strengths & weaknesses is Research.
It is the most exciting aspect of my publishing books & ebooks.
My weakness because I can get lost in the hunt.
I uncovered a few more authors who are popular yet today and whose books are in the public domain. The copyright for them has expired. The more I find, the more excited I get.
I finally had to stick my head up and realize I need to be reprinting all of this and its easily going to take a few years. That's the tedious and not so exciting part.
The last author I looked at, I have actually previously reprinted some of his books.
WOW! Color Me Surprised! I decided to see what kind of sales I have had with that author's book and there have been a total of 1,993 books sold. Those come from 30 of the 45 books that I have published of his.
What grabbed my attention while searching for treasure today and since I have been publishing public domain ebooks lately is that he wrote 4000+ essays/articles in his lifetime. I stumbled upon one such article which led me to explore more and uncover this information.
Since he is from the U.K., I had to recheck how long copyright is and it expires 70 years after the author's death in the U.K. So I am good to go there.
I am more than confident, I will track down many of those essays/articles online.
In time, I could bundle groups of those articles into books or even volumes of books.
Dall-e generated image of man with $ signs covering eyesSo its time once again to return to publishing more ebooks/books and maybe only continue research on my downtime.
I DIGRESS
After taking a nap, I subscribed to a Digital News Weekly in one of my major niches and now have access to 179 YEARS of their publication.
NOW
Its time to get to work!

Sounds fun, Mel- Now if only it is as exciting at transcribing the information to the screen to get to print.
