Moving My Life & Businesses Beyond Comfortable
Hello everyone,
Its taken 11 years, but now is the time to take my life and businesses to a completely new level.
In 2012, I divorced and gave up everything, but my small publishing business (188 titles).
I worked round the clock for 2 years to save and build up passive income for my next move.
In Sept 2014, I left the USA and moved to the Philippines.
I chose the Philippines, because way back in Sept 1983 I had sponsored my first Philippine child, Criselda Cruz and I took 10 days to visit the 12 year old girl and her family and to see just exactly where my sponsorship money was going.
I fell in love with the Philippines.
So since I was now single again and my American children were adults, it was what I wanted to do and I have not regretted my decision.
There certainly have been major challenges over the last 11 years, but I have done well and have been comfortable with my situation for the most part.
Almost 6 years ago, Jan 26, 2020, Melissa Jeane was born and she has transformed and continues to transform my life. Thanks Wen for this gift of life!
i'm 68 and have had to grapple with my own mortality and Stoicism has helped me with that.
I live in the Present Moment, one day at a time.
Today, I decided enough is enough. I want MORE. More of everything. Beyond any of my previous dreams. Not because I needed it, but because its what I want from life now.
I also know anything is possible for anyone. There are no limits.
If we can dream it, we can build it and now with AI, we can do so it much faster than before.
So look out world. Marine Mel has been unleashed!
I will certainly share any ideas and strategies as time goes on. I have always been about helping others.

Amazing Mel, and thanks for sharing your entire story. Not sure if I had ever heard the full story as to how/why you ended up in the Philippines, but I definitely do know working with many Filipino folks over the years and having local friends from there, they are amazing people with an amazing culture.

What stands out to me most is the clarity — choosing the present moment, acknowledging mortality without fear, and still deciding to want more from life. That’s not ambition for ambition’s sake; that’s intention.
