Might Cancel Membership as I've Spent More Money Than I've Made

Just looking for any recommendations or tips to keep me motivated. I am thinking of cancelling my membership as I seem to be making no income from my sites. Would I therefore lose the sites I've made and all the content on it or would I just lose the Wealthy Affiliate help and its community if I decided to go it alone.

Please Help!

Thanks,
Melissa.

Hello, Melissa. Joshua

DevenD says it the best below. Stay the course and you will succeed.

Hi Melissa,
How long have you been a Premium member for?

Typically, with hard work it can take anything from 3-6 months to a year before you notice any traffic increase and subsequent sales etc. Persiverance would be my advice.

Thank you for the advice, I've decided to keep going with it till I reach at least a year and then see how things are going. I was just feeling a little demotivated but I know the income will take time to start rolling in :)

Hello,
You can transfer your site & domain to a new host. No problems there. However after you pass the intro rates for that host, you'll be paying around the same cost of WA but only getting web hosting.

However, as someone who has been here for 6 years now I can tell you it does take time to start earning money. Wealthy Affiliate is not a get-rich-quick scheme. What is taught here is how to build an online business. It took me roughly a year to start seeing real profits through my website and once I hit that point the only direction things could go was up.

I know this is probably the worst suggestion I could give someone who wants to cancel because they've spent more than they have earned - but I highly suggest the yearly membership. While it is more money up front, you are essentially only paying for 7 months out of the year as compared to the monthly rate.

I can see you've only been here for 6 months by your profile badge. 6 months is really the first true hurdle you'll face, and arguably the hardest to clear.

For myself, and most other internet marketers I've met, 6 months is when momentum really starts to increase and results start to flourish. You just need to be persistent and keep adding new, helpful content to your site.

The community here at WA is second to none. You won't find a more supportive group with both members and founders who put so much time and energy into each others success.

Might I ask what your niche is? Did you go with OEC and choose your own niche or did you choose Affiliate Bootcamp and go with the make money online (MMO) niche? Moreover, if you went with MMO, what is your specific niche?

I'd be happy to help provide some pointers/feedback if you'd like.

With all that said, if you truly feel that this isn't the lifestyle you want to achieve, I understand. This isn't for everybody. It doesn't provide the same instant gratification that a 9-5 with weekly or biweekly paychecks does. And I 100% understand the frustration that can cause.

So to answer your post's initial question - should you decide you want to leave, you can transfer everything to a new host so as to not lose your work thus far.

Best,
- Dev

Agree with everything Dev said, your just at the hump point keep it going for a few more months and you will see a difference as long as you continue to add unique relevant content.

Thank you so much for the help, I've decided to stay and hopefully things improve over the next few months as I'm feeling a lot more excited about it :)

I don't know the answers to your questions as I am new as well, but I encourage you not to give up. I'm betting someone can give you good advice on what to do next in your journey but go it alone just yet.
