The Power of Relationships
Dear beloved WA community,
I am coming back on WA's blog today for this short post.
It's actually been difficult to stop myself from writing here!
I was going to wait until my birthday this coming Saturday to post my 46th WA blog post, as a symbolic way to celebrate my 46th birthday. :-)
But no, no, no... ;-)
I JUST GOT AMAZING NEWS that I wanted to share with you to honor the power of relationships.
Let me explain...
I have started a series of interviews on my blog (nathalieu.com) of inspiring people I know, about the joy and happiness they feel when doing what they do. The latest one I published is one of a friend I met when I was doing volunteer work in South Africa in 2002. A looooooooooooooong time ago!
I am currently working on the interviews of 3 more people I became friends with within the past year and I had a wish list of some famous people (a singer and 2 actors) from my faith community.
AND yesterday I also asked my husband's best friend's girlfriend who happens to be a successful Youtuber with almost 1.4 millions subscribers. :-)
Her response to me today? Well... she gets a LOT of interview requests and, as a rule of thumb, she does not accept them because that would take too much of her time. BUT because this is ME, she is going to do it. :-) Wow!! I feel so grateful right now!!
So today I wanted to honor the power of relationships. Being there for each other, helping each other out, sharing the load AND sharing the love, is part of what we are meant to do in this world.
This is a beautiful reminder to nurture ourselves and our relationships. What better work than working with people we love and appreciate?

I too agree that mature relationships should be nurtured over the years which leads to better channels of trust, loyalty, etc.
I have a couple of adhesive, childhood friends back in England that always check in with me and vice versa, and we converse, laugh, cry about all of what life throws at us.
The point is that my long-term friends and I ARE there for each other, through the good times and the bad.

Secondly, reading what you have said about interviewing the YouTuber, I would soak up every minute of that one, because, believe me, in my limited, but fast expanding knowledge of YouTube, the amount of work those Tubers do behind the scenes is immense, fo the finished product we get to see, so enjoy that one
Equally, Tubers also have some very powerful connections which when handled right and no matter how famous, lead to some good doors opening

I have many friends, but no real long term relationships and I regret that. At 76 I have seen many that could have been great friends that are now gone.
