Getting ultra personal on social media
So, I took a giant leap of faith today and decided to upload a super personal video of myself explaining why I needed to join this weight loss and detox campaign my group of mom bloggers hosts. I felt that it was time for me to make a personal connection with my readers by giving them a taste of who I really am deep down inside. It was scary, let me tell you. I NEVER make videos of with me in them. EVER. Let alone me sitting there talking. I really hope this pays off. I'm counting on my readers to pull through for me and help me get into this campaign, as my family seriously needs it. But I will say one thing, after I did the video, pressed that upload button and then sent it out, it felt kinda liberating.

You are a brave soul Megan... I wish you all the luck in the world... I am sure you will be just fine...:)
Putting yourself out there can be a scary thing. Congratulations on taking the plunge.
I'm sure it will work out for you.
Great job Megan! I was really hesitate about making videos when I first started making them. Good luck on your journey, and as Maxa stated once you have done one..it gets easier.... Much success!
Good for you. I understand your trepidation. I always avoid myself on video - so I really admire you for tasking the plunge and I'm sure your moms will love it.
wow, you are one brave cookie....much here for me to digest (don't find myself saying that often about a 142 word posting)
thank you very much Megan
The greatest skill i imagine is to simplify to purity....If u can do it in one word...Wonderbah ;)
Well, If you are serious about your "business" and you truly believe in what you promote - than going personal is a great idea ;)
I thought so too. I tend to blog about very sensitive topics, so this was the next logical step :)
Congrats on the huge leap! I know the feeling. I HATE posting pictures of myself, let alone posting a video! Anyway, good luck with everything in the future and looking after that family of yours. :)
