Hi guys,
I'm opening my first personal website (it's not the absolute first as I've created websites for companies since quite 10 years).

Great blog filled with information I was not aware of and now makes me want to travel. Good job!
All of the big travel sites list the top attractions for a destination. What I would want is more about "hidden gems" or the thing that the local dos. Some examples:
-- Best small art galleries featuring local/regional current artists
-- Best Irish pub (every town has one), neighborhood restaurant, bakery
-- Best Public / open market
-- Best restaurant to get the city's signature dish
-- Current foodie craze in Venice and where to get it
Other things:
-- what are the tourist safe and dangerous areas of the city and what are the street borders of those areas
-- are there a lot of cabs? And how do you flag one down?
-- explain public transportation. It can be very confusing for folks. So, simplify it down to the most common routes to get to the most common attractions. Include a pdf of the public transportation routes (or link)
-- what is the proper amount of "tipping"?
so, those are my quick thoughts.
Brad

Just a quick FYI - this information and writing is best to be on your website! The blogs inside WA are just for communicating with other members here, and talking about your business. If you want to blog about what to do in Venice that would be a great post on your website (probably many posts about that topic).
If you want to just ask the question of what other WA members would like to do in Venice as part of your research, that's fine!
For me, I love coffee, so I'd like to know more about italian coffee. Where can I drink it, how should I drink it, and what are the best places to have different types of coffee drinks.
I guess looking for italian coffee is pretty typical, but it's what I'm looking for!
Ok thank you for your help, next time I'll keep only the essential info for the post :D and tomorrow I'll start writing in my site

As I wrote in my first blog post in WA, I live near Venice and I'd love to create a website for American people who come here in Venice and give them advices on where to go (av
Hey Matteo - I have to confess this might be a little bit of a "narrow passion" as finding products could be a challenge. It isn't so much about those that come to Venice but those that dream of doing so. How about "All Things Italian" and then focus on the American Tourist market?
Americans are going to be buying from the US before they travel so you could start with Amazon products - books, suitcases, specialty items.
You have to think about how you are going to get traffic to your list and to your products. Have you checked out some Facebook Groups?
First of all thank you very much for your answer, actually at the moment I didn't check out any Fb groups but I'll do that soon.
Anyway as you suggested I'll focus more on the "objects you need before packing for Venice", so the website will be oriented directly towards the items I can sell.
I'll let you know when the site is ready :D
Please do - will be happy to check it out. I love Venice by the way and have been fortunate to spend a week there on two different occasions.
