Hello Affiliates :D
Matteo from Italy here, I'm a web designer and live near Venice. (Using a little bit of styles just to try the platfom editor hehe).
I own a little web agency but here in Italy things are not so good for businesses so I want to start something new that goes beyond the simple "building cool websites" thing (this is also something that Worpress themes already offer, and moreover in less time than creating a website from scratch in PHP code like I do).
I want to use my web knowhow to change my type of job, I'll no longer make websites but I'll offer new contents and try to sell something on the internet following WA courses.
I watched the first videos and I'm still trying to find the perfect niche for me: as I said I live near Venice and I'd love to create a website for American people who come here in Venice and give them advices on where to go (avoiding the usual places for tourists). By the way my girlfriend lives in Giudecca, which is a little island in front of S. Marco church.
The problem is: if my niche is "Americans who come to Venice", what should I promote to get money? What can I add to make my niche even more narrow?
Thanks to anyone who will answer :D :D

There are many things that you could promote, including potentially working with local companies for promotions. Check out Jay's Local webinars https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/webinar (search for "local")
If you rank for things like "best coffee in Venice" or "where to buy train tickets in English" or "Italian classes for English speakers in Venice" other companies may want to pay you for referrals.
For products to promote, of course English/Italian books are useful, wine tasting online courses, travel tickets, travel site stuff like hotels...the possibilties are endless if you think outside the box as well.
Thanks Nathaniell :) watching the webinar on Local SEO right now.
Just to have everything clear, when you say "best coffee in Venice" you may refer for example to a bar.
To get money from that bar what shoud I do? I should probably get there and talk to the owner as the bar doesn't sell online.. I really don't know how it works...
That's the tough part. Most small bars will not have affiliate programs, so you'll have to contact them privately, in person or online. They may not even know how to compensate you, so you may have to think of a plan to present to them.
Local stuff is a little outside of the main WA training, so there's no specific training on how to do this. For a clearer path to profits, focusing on online product sales is the way to go. This is detailed in the training.
Ok thank you for the clarification about this, for now I'll focus on the WA course, maybe I'll consider the small bars thing for the future.
Matteo, I think you might have a great niche. You could offer books on the subject to sell. Maybe information for Americans on where to visit in Venice. Just thinking off the top of my head because I have never been out of the US maybe books on how to get around. What types of places to eat. Things to avoid for safety or not to be taken advantage of.
Some of these you might need to create yourself as e-books. You might even add links to affiliate sites that sell merchandise specifically related to Venice.
I hope this sparks some ideas!
Thanks Ron, as I'm from Venice I know I have some content to offer, but having the answers from you is even more important, because you'll may be visiting Venice some day and you could be a potential visitor of my future website and find some unusual useful info. :)
So if you have other ideas of what an American may need in Venice that is not so easy to find, feel free to leave another comment.
Thanks again!
