An easy tool to resize images for Street Articles Submissions!
The program is called GIMP and it works wonders for resizing as well as importing and exporting files to different formats. GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program and it is my #1 program for photo retouching and image composition.
The first thing that you want to do is go to the GIMP website http://www.gimp.org/ and download the program.
Once you have it downloaded you are ready to resize those images!
The first step to resizing an image is to open GIMP, go to the tool bar and click on "File" then you want to click on "Open". Open the file of the picture that you want resized.
Once the image pops up you want to go to the tool bar and click on "Image", then click on "Scale Image"
Under "Image Size" you want to type 200. Make sure that the Width and Height are both 200 and then click the button "Scale".
This will scale your image to the appropriate size for Street Articles.
Go the the tool bar at the top and click on "File" then "Export". Make sure the bottom says "All Images" and then go to the top and name your picture the name of your choice dot jpg. For example image.jpg.
Click on "Export" when the pop up comes up click on "export" again and you are all set! Unless you change the location of where you export your image you will find your newly resized image on your Desktop.
Your image is now ready to upload onto Street Articles!

Great post! I would also like to pass this along. I've found a free online resize image site at http://resizepic.com/.
Here is what you need to do to resize any image.
First click Choose where you find the word "Image" and select where your image is located on your hard drive.
Next enter the width and height that you want to resize to and click resize image.
From there your taken to the next page where you can Download or right click to save.
Hope this helps.

there is a much easier tool called iPiccy, it is web based so there is no download.

Yes but you can do amazing things with GIMP. This program doesn't just resize pictures (although it is great for that) but is a FREE replacement for Photoshop. If you haven't the funds to purchase a full blown Photoshop image manipulation suite. GIMP will fill the bill for FREE.
It does take some time to understand all of the nuances but there are hundreds of tutorials on YouTube. It is my image editor of choice.
picresizedotcom also resizes and is web based if anyone wants another option. Gimp is way better once you get into it though.
