Live, Laugh, and Love

Last Update: December 14, 2016

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcohol - Dead

The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead

Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead

Fourth worm in good clean soil -Alive!

So the Minister asked the congregation - What can you learn from this demonstration?

Maxine, who was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said,

'As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!'

We can become so preoccupied with our tasks that we fail to take care of ourselves. Laughter is good for us. We can laugh at worm jokes and even laugh at ourselves every once in a while.

I remember the time I was asked to paint directional arrows on a short entrance into a parking lot. I got down to business and finished the task, only to realize that I had painted the arrows in the same direction on both sides of the entrance way! No, I'm not kidding. It wasn't funny then. But it is today! HA!

I'm sure I'll make some silly mistakes during this WA process. But, hey, what's really important is that we accept ourselves by living every moment, laughing every day, and loving beyond words! Peace, friends!

Love the post. We don't laugh enough, do we?

Most of us don't. It is a good thing. I always think about how laughter helped Norman Cousins heal from his disease.

I didn't tell you about the time I drilled in reverse through a black kitchen skillet when I was making kitchen clocks!

I kept drilling and drilling, pouring oil on the drill bit, standing on the drill, blowing away the puffs of smoke, checking the forward and reverse settings on the drill, and making up new curse words by the minute! And that was a long time ago when I had good eyes and could actually see!

Not kidding! Trust me, it can be done!

Running a drill in reverse is no fun but it goes to show persistence still works, lol !

It was at a private school and the building superintendent didn't think it was funny. But I solved the problem! I went to the next entrance and painted the arrows on the two lanes in the same direction, too . . . but in the opposite direction of the arrows on the first entrance!

After the superintendent waxed eloquently using words that I had to look up later, I told him that it made more sense to have two entrance lanes on one end of the parking lot and two exit lanes on the other end of the parking lot. I told him it would enhance traffic flow! He thought I was brilliant and the lanes are still existent that way today!

So sometimes an unintended flaw, can turn into wisdom!

Well, that means you have checked off at least one of the three "Ls" for today! Now you need to laugh and live. By the way, do you know anyone alive today who doesn't live every moment? So, laugh and you can rest until tomorrow.

Do you use candles and incense?
