They were banned in Australia many years back, although you can still get them illegally. Too many injuries and sometimes death.
Here there are sometimes gunshots mixed with fireworks so I tend to stay away from big gatherings and just attend immediate family, A young child was shot 2 years ago watching the city's fireworks show. Sad when you can't enjoy a fireworks show.
Yes good point. Easy to disguise and in today's society we don't know what is real and what is the noise of enjoyment.

I'll be safe because I'll be inside, lol. Decided to keep it quiet today since I have a big BBQ this Saturday. There's a beach in New York that does fireworks every Friday until Labor Day, so I can catch that another day.
