Hey there!

First I want to thank all of you who have reached out to me in concern for where I have been. You all have no idea how much your messages mean to me and I'm so thankful to have friends who care about me so much.

I can't remember where I left off and I promise to make this as quick as possible though I have a tendency to write a lot. I'll start with the not so good stuff first because I'm a strong believer in getting the unpleasant/bad/stuff you don't like/etc over first.

The Not So Good Stuff

I wrote a bit about this in my $500+ August 2018 Results post about being pretty sick over the summer. I was hoping that it would get better but unfortunately things only got worse though you don't have to worry becuase I'm all better now.

I am usually a pretty healthy person and pretty strong person but I could not handle the sickness and stressful events that were happening.

I came down with a really bad virus which made both of my eyes basically go like pink eye, my throat hurt so much that it put me in tears to swallow (and I'm a pretty tough person when it comes to pain) and the meds I took were too strong for my liking.

I've only recently got over this illness that lasted for over a month.

I also went through a lot of stressful events. I can not comment on this but through all of it I just about quit altogether...

But I didn't because I believe in prayer and I believe in God and everytime I would think or yell that I want to quit or what's the point or something like that I would get this overwhelming calm wash over me. Then a voice that kept saying to keep going and build my business online.

I don't have any support when it comes to this and I get a lot of backlash. I'm not sure how it is for anyone else but I encourage you to keep doing what that voice tells you.

At the same time, my computer decided it was just going to die for no particular reason and the internet went from terrible to even more terrible. If you have a slow connection know that I feel your pain but realize that everything I've accomplished so far has been on this slow connection.

We got 3mbs on a good day and it got a lot worse. Highspeed internet was not available and the library's internet was just as slow where I live.

I couldn't even load anything to get any writing done. Not even Google Docs would load.

I told my husband that we had to move and we had to move now (then). There was no way we could live in the place we were anymore. There was more than the internet that was unpleasant but that's all I'll say about that.

The Good Stuff

So that's all the time I want to spend on the 'Bad Stuff'. Now there are some good things that have been happening for me as well.

Through all of this, I can tell you:

  1. Never giveup
  2. Be kind
  3. Be giving
  4. Be grateful

If you don't know, my hubby and I run a small lawn care business here in NC. To make a long story short one of our clients were pretty much ready to throw away their house because they had to move somewhere else.

They sold us the house for a good price. Not only that, it just happened that the offer came up right at the same time when we could not stand to live at the other place anymore.

The location was also great because we have highspeed internet too! I feel like I've just arrived in 2019 because the internet is a night and day difference. If you have highspeed internet you might not be able to imagine how good it feels to be able to stream without freezing every minute for 10 minutes or typing something that takes 5 minutes to show up on the screen.

We collectively bought the house but I can tell you that the money I earn from my online work greatly helped during the entire process of buying and moving. Gosh, there are so much stinking activation fees too! Even for the stinking garbage collection. LOL!!!

There's no way we could have done this without my online income too although our lawn care business did acceptional this year too.

My Takeaways From 2018

Don't let anyone tell you that it is not possible to make money online. It sure is and you can do it! I don't care what your obsticle is, if you want it you have to fight for it with all your might.

I'll be honest with you. I made a goal in the beginning of 2018 that I would buy a house in November 2018. I watched or read something that said speak your goals even if you don't see the way.

Sure enough, 2018 I had no idea how we were going to buy a house yet here we are, two months late but nevertheless home owners.

This is one of my biggest takeaways from 2018. Through all the hardships, I've made a lot of my unseen goals by simply speaking them, giving myself a reasonable deadline and going for it.

Also, can't say it enough:

  1. Be kind
  2. Be giving
  3. Be grateful

Be kind. Be giving. Be grateful. And TAKE ACTION on what YOU want in your life.

Right now, I'm still trying to figure out my goals and what I want to do with my business. I want to sell one of them but am too unsure about it. I also got a part-time job to get out of the house and make some extra money to make sure we can cover all the new expenses.

Now I can also get back to making training videos too because I can actually upload them now, lol!

So I'll talk to you later. Thanks for reading and thanks for your support :)

Marlinda, you had some amazing highs last year. Fortunately, the lows are a thing of the past. I am sorry that you had to go through that. I was out with my own challenges, so I missed even your August results I think.

I am glad that you are ok. This is going to be an awesome year for you.

I will follow some some of the tips that you shared about speaking my goals.

Glad you are back!!!

All I can say is WOW! Glad you are feeling better and things are going well. I so agree with be kind, be giving and be grateful. I’ve also heard writing down your goals / dreams leads to success! Your story is very inspirational.
Best of luck, Eliza

Marlinda, Great post, and sharing. You have a great attitude and follow correctly that spirit inside. This will never fail you in anything. I have not listened several times in my life and it did not go perfectly, to say the least! Daily I am hit with naysayers, even though they have seen but don't understand several times my success in business prior. Non-entrepreneurs will never understand other than their 9-5, so I do not try to convince them anymore. I feel actions and results will change their thinking or at the least their attitude.
Glad you are feeling better, and your positive attitude came through to finish 2018.
Make those goals to be in Vegas next year, and you will achieve just that.
God Bless,
Bill

So wonderful for you!! You made it through the storm and came out the other side!

Best wishes,
Karin :)
