Here's some extra money! - Day 29
30 Days To Crush Email Marketing!
Day 29
Here's some extra money!
Hey guys, welcome to day 29 of my 30 day email marketing challenge.
It's been a pretty wild month..what with hurricanes, politics and people!
Here in the UK the clocks went back last night..which is normally a nice experience as we gain an extra hour for our weekend.
But shock horror, for the first time ever in my life I was doing a night shift.. so all I had to look forward to was an extra hour at work!
Today I want to share a tip that'll save you some time and hopefully make you some extra money!
I've touched on this topic before but such is it's importance I wanted to dedicate a whole post to it...we must make the most of the emails that perform really well for us.
Why? Because it makes business sense, it'll save us time and increase our sales!
First we need to work out what our most successful emails were. If you cast your mind back to day 19 Can You Better Market To Your Niche? of this challenge we talked about the importance of tracking our conversions.
Once we get stuck into this kind of marketing and become more experienced at it I promise you it becomes a habit to log into your auto-responder dashboard regularly to review your reports...even addictive!
In particular, we'll be looking for past emails that have been opened the most, or have made us the most sales.
If you've been following the previous posts in this current series, you may be thinking... isn't reusing emails the exact same thing as recycling emails like we discussed on day 12 Do I Need A Makeover?, but there are a couple of subtle diference's unlike re-purposing them it will only take a few minutes to do.
One of the quickest and easiest actions is to simply send the exact same email again as a broadcast. This works particularly well if it's been 3+ months since you sent it the first time.
Even if it’s only been a few weeks, we can still use the exact same email but in addition we can add a short note simply reminding our subscribers of this awesome product in case they didn’t get a chance to grab it first time we emailed it out.
In particular, we'll be targeting our readers who may have been on the fence the first time around or simply weren't in the right circumstances to use what we had to offer them.
Of course, it also gives us another chance to present our well-converting offer to everyone new on our list who has signed up since we ran it last. It's worth high lighting that this works perfectly fine for our own product offers as well as for products we're an affiliate for.
One other strategy, one which I carry out religiously is to spend a little time every 3 months or so..collecting the emails that have worked well in a previous broadcast and then working them into our auto-responder sequence.
By doing this we're giving maximum exposure to the emails and product that have already converted well for us..as we are making sure every single one of our subscribers get to see these emails sooner or later.
Do this and past experience shows me we'll see a nice little increase in our income.
Oh yes and one final very important tip...check that the links and product offers are still live from time to time...there's nothing more unprofessional or sloppy looking than offering a product or service to your subscribers that is no longer available!
I hope you have enjoyed today's post...if so please like it and I would love to hear your comments below.
Please join me tomorrow for my last post in this current series...
I will leave you with my thought of the day...
That day is thundering towards us...
Let's share it together :)

WOW! Great idea! I find that I'd like to be able to receive these directly... so would you be willing set up something that we (at WA) could receive each of these lessons from you?
Hi Sylvia, thanks so much for your nice feedback. In tomorrows post I'll publish a list of direct links to all the past posts in this current series. I am working on some follow up training which I will hopefully have completed within the next 2 weeks. I'll PM you as a reminder once it's ready to go. Hope you're enjoying a great weekend.
