Is This a 'Denial of Service Attack'?
A new member is flooding Wealthy Affiliate with what seems to be automated clicks on 'comments likes' and also producing automatic comments. This is not the first time a member with a similar username has done this.
Is this a Denial of Service Attack ?
What is the motive behind this?
My incoming emails are getting saturated with 'A Comment of Yours Has Been Liked'. I have my emails go into separate folders and this is what happened when I searched for a particular name in my 'Comment Liked' folder.
Yeah, I know I can change my email settings but I want to receive all my WA emails.
I've sent a private message to Kyle but I couldn't include the above image in the message.
This is not normal for Wealthy Affiliate and I hope they can stop it quickly.

Looking at the time it is too close and I don't think anyone would do this is WA. It could be someone PC got infected by some virus that possibly done this. I had experienced this in my email where the whole office people received about 100 over emails from the same person and the person did not send any. I know because he was my colleague. The problem resolved after the person reinstalled his OS
Yes, that is possible too. For someone to get a virus that attacks people in their email connections.

Sorry to hear that Marion! It is a shame and hard to believe we have such people here at WA! Bummer! Hang in there. I am sure the problem will be resolved!!
Same thing has been happening to me. Did not know what to make of it except that it's been really strange and has given me pause.
Sherion's explanation seems the most likely ... Or perhaps thought that it could just be an attempt to improve their WA rating rather rapidly.

I'm getting a lot of likes from a certain person on comments I've made on other people's posts. It's not 20 at a time, but I don't know who this person is and it feels a little like being stalked. I just thought some newbie was over zealous and was liking everything.
usually if you get a like from a comment it says who liked your comment. Does it say who liked the comment or are they just random names of WA people?
I don't know why they're doing it. And yeah, it's like being stalked... creepy.
@Barbara it's the same person all the time.
It is a member here at WA, but they don't follow me or anything and they're only liking comments of mine on other people's posts. It's just weird and a little creepy.
I have been getting these for about a week. I looked the person up and they are a member. This person was going back years in my account here and supposedly liking post. So far today I haven't had any.
