Just one peek into Heaven / Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day. Today I celebrate Fathers Day in a different way. Im sure everyone in the community know that daddy passed away last Friday (June 13). Im celebrating dad by finishing his eulogy. Celebrating his life. One profound thing I realized is death does not mean "the end". How I know this is because after my dad passed and as we were still in the room sitting by his bed next to him, there lay his lifeless body, his shell. But we were still able to talk about him as if he was still here with us. Its true that writing his eulogy out had me bursting into tears. My tears are for me missing him, knowing I wont be able to touch him anymore, hear his voice. Happy Fathers Day Daddy.

Just one little peek into heaven Is all I'm asking for today , I just want to know how my daddy's doing and heaven seems so far away. If you just let me look for a moment I promise I wont make a peep. He doesn't even need to know I'm there for I know he's resting in peace. Just one little peek in heaven is all I'm asking for, just to make sure daddy's made it safely on his journey home. I wont even try to overstay, just a little glimpse of heaven and daddy's smiling face. Will bring me great comfort in knowing I can carry on and take the pain. Just one little peek into heaven is all Im asking for. Just to see he's made it safely and will be present to greet me when It's my turn to come home. I love you daddy.

Hi Maricel, sorry to hear you lost your dad. I can totally relate! I lost mine more than 5 years ago and it's still like yesterday. As difficult as it is, take solace in the fact that you have great memories of him. Though he is now gone physically, memories will always be with you.

Console yourself with the fact that there are people who never knew their father, let alone have any memories to cherish. We are blessed to have had the time we had with our fathers. I pray that the peace of God that passes all understanding will rest with you and your family during this trying time. Though it may be a while, you will meet him again in glory!
Stay blessed and let the Lord be your strength.
Onyeka

If only there was a way to peek into heaven...but, remember he'll always be there in your memories, your dreams, and sometimes in the smallest things around us that remind us of them. Maybe you could call them signs, or messages that show up when we least expect.

Let me explain, if you will...many years ago, my grandfather had planted yellow roses for my grandmother next to their home, but they never bloomed. They grew though for years, just getting bigger, and every year my grandparents waited for it to bloom, but not even a bud. Anyways, my grandfather passed away, leaving my grandmother missing him so much. She was so lost in her grief...

A few days after he passed away these yellow roses began blooming after all those years. It was his way to show he's still around, watching over her, wishing her to see some joy and happiness again until the day she'd join him again. At least that's what we all believe and it gave such comfort to my grandmother to see them.

It's a hard time to get through, and I know the sadness you're going through. My thoughts and prayers to you, Maricel, that you may feel the comfort of God's peace. -Sherry

Well stated.

Thank you for sharing this with me. It makes me feel that hes really not gone. He just went home. I believe that is your grandfather still trying to make your grandmother smile! Reading this put a smile to my heart. Thank you.

Maricel
im very sorry for your loss and hope you will be ok, one thing I like to mention that i have learned from death, is they are only away for a little while, as if your Dad may have taken trip that you didn't get to go on, yet He's never really that far away, he's with you right now he can hear you when you speak to him,. And think of like this, the next time you see your father and you will, you will never have to say goodbye again. You have made this day special for your Dad and he appreciates it and know he loves your very much. He's a;ways with you. Take care of yourself and we are all here for you.

My dear Maricel; how well I know the sadness that you feel when your daddy passes from this life to the next. I have felt the same. It is so very hard to let go of his hand. I know the feeling of a heart that wrenches for just a few more moments with him to let him know how proud you are to have been his daughter here on earth and how much you loved every moment you spent with him even though there were times where you didn't appreciate and honor his wisdom to you as you should have.

Here is a beautiful passage I leave with you that says, "Eye has not seen and ear has not heard neither has it entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those that love him." You can find that verse in the book of 1st Corinthians, Chapter 2:9.

Be comforted in knowing that just as your daddy was always here for you throughout his time on earth, Daddy God has made a way for you to see him in heaven.

I pray for you to be comforted and to be at peace. -Rebecca

Happy Father's Day to all our dads whom we have loved so greatly.

Your message has brought me to tears. Thank you so much for this passage. It has helped me so much during this time of grief.

While you precious one have suffered a tremendous loss you are not alone. It is in time of our deepest sorrow that Father God is nearest to us. While He sometimes seems far away, His grace is most powerful when we are at our weakest moments. Just fall into Him, dear one. Just like your daddy did, He will catch you and wrap you in His loving arms. Blessings of comfort be unto you, Maricel...hold the memory of your father near until you feel the strength to let him enjoy the ultimate joy of his eternal rest in God.

I love my daddy too!!

Thank you:)

I want to say something....but don't know the right words or how to say them. You are in our prayers!

Thank you, what you said is perfect..

Your pain is proof that he, not only existed but he made a difference to you in this world
Your pain is proof that while he was here, he was able to light up your life with his love
Your pain is proof that his life was worthwhile and had meaning
Your pain is proof that he made a difference in the world
Your pain is proof that he had a life that touched so many, especially you
Your pain, will one day become your light, so you can shine it for others, who are in darkness
Your pain is proof that you are capable of real love
Your pain is the little girl in you that wants to be hugged and made to feel safe

God bless you keep you safe

Barry

You are so right. His loss is like a sting in the heart.

Hey Maricel. I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost my dad as I was 12. I can't bring down heaven for you, but I can guarantee you, that the memory of your dad will allow you to always feel him close by you, just as he did when he was alive. There will be dreams you hear his voice, see him smile and they will help you through this hard time. He will always be with you. In your heart, your thoughts, your dreams and through you. Cherish this as this is your "window" to heaven. :)

Many blessings and my condolences to you and your family!

Take care,
Nicole
