Happy Fathers Day. Today I celebrate Fathers Day in a different way. Im sure everyone in the community know that daddy passed away last Friday (June 13). Im celebrating dad by finishing his eulogy. Celebrating his life. One profound thing I realized is death does not mean "the end". How I know this is because after my dad passed and as we were still in the room sitting by his bed next to him, there lay his lifeless body, his shell. But we were still able to talk about him as if he was still here with us. Its true that writing his eulogy out had me bursting into tears. My tears are for me missing him, knowing I wont be able to touch him anymore, hear his voice. Happy Fathers Day Daddy.
Just one little peek into heaven Is all I'm asking for today , I just want to know how my daddy's doing and heaven seems so far away. If you just let me look for a moment I promise I wont make a peep. He doesn't even need to know I'm there for I know he's resting in peace. Just one little peek in heaven is all I'm asking for, just to make sure daddy's made it safely on his journey home. I wont even try to overstay, just a little glimpse of heaven and daddy's smiling face. Will bring me great comfort in knowing I can carry on and take the pain. Just one little peek into heaven is all Im asking for. Just to see he's made it safely and will be present to greet me when It's my turn to come home. I love you daddy.
