Wealthy Affiliate Is Inconvenient
Last Update: Feb 6, 2023
In this video, I explain why I feel that Wealthy Affiliate is an inconvenience.
When you are getting started with WA, it is an interruption to your daily routine. You are now obligated to take the time to:
- Learn a new skill (affiliate marketing)
- Take action (build an online business)
- Engage with the community (ask questions and help others)
This all takes a lot of time out of your day and potentially interrupts your daily routine.
So is this an inconvenience? Absolutely!
But you can change this! Watch the video for more details and let me know below if you agree with this AND have you made the mindset change?
I have felt overwhelmed these first few months but I am really trying. I really want to change my life and I feel that wealthy affiliates has the tools that I need to figure out how to change my situation. I am still pushing forward and giving this my all even on days that I really feel like giving up on everything.
And BAM! Dead centre on the target!
It is inconvenient, but it is a good inconvenience. everything around us is continuously changing and we need to adapt. If we don´t we will be "left behind".
The framework you describe is a simple one, but difficult in terms of not being a part of our daily routine and habits. Changes in habits take time to solidify.
If I am not mistaken, research done on habit changes has shown that habits takes from three weeks to a year to stick ( I don´t remember or have the reference to this research at hand).
Love this Jay and it got me thinking... I heard the other day that every time you set yourself a new goal (working out, building an online business etc.) you are adding a bit of stress and you will feel pressure.
Makes sense because that goal is your ideal and you're not there yet so yeah, there's a gap between where you are and where you want to be and there's work to do! As you say, it's just about organising your time better and yep, I'm still working on this! :-)
Jay great discussion!
People will always take the easy way just like water it takes the least obstruction.
So, if a product is hard or complicated or difficult to use it will inevidently be used less . It's just as simple as that.😁
I like many other people would love if there was someone standing behind us to say ok now press that button and that will move that there and it's done amazing now do it again and again until you get it .
Studies have been made to test people's learning ability.
If people read a book etc there retention is something like 10 % or more. If you show someone haw to do it it's I believe 30 to 40 % but if you get the person to do it themselves while they are being coached i believe it's about a 90 % retention.
I rest my case ha ha
With that being said I am going to try to write another blog 😁
One more thing I think Wealthy Affiliate has an amazing system for what they offer nobody comes even close to all the programs. Some other company's charge ala cart for every additional feature whereas WA it's all included.
If you want to take a small course on making a web site and putting it on the internet it's around $650.00 Canadian and you have to drive to the school for about 10 weeks.
I have been tempted to try this but I feel am I that dumb so many other people get it why not me? I have tried to get a few people that are computer geeks to teach me but they were not interested.
So i go on you tube and there are some good easy videos but some are also complicated.
So I will keep on trying to figure this out myself unless you know a better way🤔
Thanks again Jay
It is certainly an inconvenience for me particularly on a Friday evening when I have prior commitments which are not so easy to change.
I really want to watch the webinars on Fridays but for now, I will have to suffer the inconvenience until I come up with a solution. I try and watch the videos after but most of the time I'm not able to follow through.
Thanks for your honest insight on the subject of inconvenience.
Hah hah, for a moment I thought you were against WA suddenly due to the headline.
Definitely hit a couple of the spots dead on for the obstacle of rearranging ones routine. It can be frightening (for some) to leave their comfort zone, more so to expose their weakness to a group of new peers who are perhaps experts in the new activity.
It's important for all newer members to realize this isn't a competition. Also to realize todays experts (like yourself) didn't come out as babies knowing all the methods you know now. You at one time had to also rearrange your routines and stumble down the new path yourselves.
It's easy to get sidetracked. Especially by those we care the most for.
I noticed years ago in self publishing i didn't get the respect from my loved ones over the idea this is work. They felt free to intrude, interrupt, hold thoughts that I was always on my computer (which meant I was having a good time instead of working of course).
Even after I began making good money, that mindset was still prevalent.
I've already determined in the future once I have a decent income from this I'll rent an office somewhere to go have quiet and privacy, and it will have the feel to those closest to me as though I really do work, hah hah.
Great insights in your video Jay.
Off topic, but I was curious if you know how Jaaxy arrives at estimated search volume for a keyword.

So true…. I recently upgraded my plan. WA is very inconvenient. It has motivated me to stay up 3 hours past my bedtime, trying to accomplish goals. However, I am certain that making the commitment to embrace the “yuck” will pay off down the road. I’ve seen too many other WA members succeed by doing what was initially inconvenient.
