Hi Catherine,
Thank you very much for your prompt answer to a not very common question.
I am glad you have a lot of experience and therefore I can go deeper into my problem.
At the present time, I am ok with the present account opened for Christie, a person.
Nevertheless, I need to switch the whole activity towards my future company because I have two reasons:
1) I can deduct the expenses with WA invoices and other stuff I will buy here (pro-version soft, hiring a professional writer and so on). Therefore I will pay the taxes on my net profit and not on my gross income as a person.
2) The future liabilities are in charge of my company within the limit of my capital and not within the limit of my net worth as a person. (That idea is coming from my lawyer).

I understood we are allowed to change the name only one time in the WA platform, although I didn’t see any warning about that whatsoever!
Now, I cannot change my name in the WA platform with the company’s name because probably I did it in the past. I don’t remember this detail (it was 3 months ago).

I would love to work but what if I cannot move my work to my company?
I will need to start over again.

Maybe you have some ideas and I will highly appreciate them.

Best regards
Christie

a) I cannot change my name in my profile settings, for the future invoice. It says: “Only alphabet letters, dash, and apostrophes are allowed in first name field” B

Have you already changed your name once? You can only do it once and that's it.

I don't think it's possible. You're limited to alpha and some punctuation chars.

Hi Merlynmac,

Thank you for answering and I know I put tough questions.

a) So, in other words, I cannot change my name because probably I did change it in the past. I don’t remember. It is more than 2 months ago. Maybe you’re right. But how can I solve it? Can I cancel my account and make a new one? May we have two accounts for one person: one as a starter and second for premium? Or one for me as an authorized person and one for my company?
b) Anyway, the fact that I cannot add numbers, in my identification, near the name, is a big problem. I cannot deduct the expenses with WA. I’m not talking about just the monthly fee (we need to spend money on sites, going pro for some software and others).

I will appreciate your answer for which I thank you beforehand

Best regards
Christie

You might be able to reach out to Site Support and see if they can set it up for you in some way. I'm not sure how to do it otherwise.

Thank you, a lot!
Christie

I hope they're able to assist you.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Vicki,

So, basically, it depends on how much I do want to cover.
It is a matter of future development (something like my personal vision).

The rule seems to be that if you are comfortable with a broader brand, and if you can provide content for it, it is nice to have a wide branding. The opposite is also true because, as you said, it is often room for associated information that serves to the main (or bigger) niche.

I appreciate your answer.

Hey Christie,

a.) Some members are ready to purchase their domain names at that point in the training and have complained as to why they were not being told to purchase one.

I had created about 5 free sites before I settled on 2 domains. Of the 2 domains that I registered, I ended up merging them together due to their being related... thus, I purchased a 3rd domain name and deserted the other 2.

So yes, if you're not ready then by all means wait.

b.) Yes, you can continue the training at your own pace. You won't be penalized for skipping registering your own domain. Once you DO decide to register a domain, you can come back and check mark that task.

c.) You sure can continue working on your SiteRubix website for as long as you want or need to.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish,

I thank you for the very accurate and organized answers
(with a, b, c).

Your history with 5 purchased sites, told me that I still have some intuition.

Honestly speaking, I hoped to receive an answer also from you.

You know that it is always a pleasure to discuss with you again...

Kindest regards,
Christie

It's up to you but I would argue getting the domain now is beneficial.

While you're building your site you're getting indexed and hopefully starting to rank. You want to build your rankings on your final domain otherwise, when you move from siterubix to that final domain, the ranking will have to start over under the new domain. The old domain will forward to the new one so if people find it under the old one it will still work but you're trying to build your site and your posts up in the ranks. Starting with the domain you want to use forever is a good idea.

Hi Merlynmac,

Thank you for your answer!
So I must be aware of some difficulties I will have when I stay on Rubix. I got that.

But starting with the domain I want to use forever is the main idea. And it is not only the main idea but also an enormously precious one.
Therefore I need to establish my niche forever and then buy the domain.

I extremely appreciate your answer!

Kind regards,
Christie

Happy to help!

Getting a domain in the early stages shows you are serious about your business and that you're thinking long-term to be there for your readers and your visitors.

Your domain also gets better rankings from the search engines, and thus, you'll get results quicker.

Yes you can always transfer your siterubix to your own domain, but it is a risk. I have heard of people losing content and most importantly, you may also lose the traffic if you don't do it properly.

I understand that money will be going into this, but that's what you do when you're in business; you have to start with investments.

And yes, even if you don't want to buy your domain now, you can still continue with the training.

To answer your last question, there is no such thing as "finishing" a website. If your website gets no more content, it will eventually die out and it won't bring you any money. You have to keep working on your websites, even when you're successful, although you won't have to work on it every single day at that point, but you will still need to keep publishing new posts once in a while.

From that regards, there is no such thing as a finished site.

At first, you won't have much traffic as it takes a few months (3 - 4 months) for your website to start getting the attention of the search engines, and as such, whether you have affiliate links on your website or not does not matter.

Remember, you want to educate your visitors FIRST.

If you want to do this business long-term, I highly recommend that you purchase your own domain, in order to start building your brand from as early as possible as well as to eliminate the risks associated with moving your website.

At the end of the day of course, it's up to you... :) I hope you find my suggestions helpful...

Hi Reyhana,

Thank you for your prompt reply!

My real concern was that I am like a merchant who is renting a stand, in the central market, without having any stuff to sell.

But don't worry, I definitely understood your arguments and moreover, I highly appreciate your answer!
Most of all, I enjoyed your explanation for “finishing a website".

And by the way, it was really nice to meet you!

Christie

You would absolutely not be like a merchant with a stall without products. Because like i said, you have to be there to educate your readers first, selling comes second. You can always come back and add affiliate links later.

It was nice to meet you too and glad you found the info helpful. 😊

An owned domain is a powerful trust signal both for search engines and your readers. An owned (com, net) domain is the "trademark" of a trustworthy business.

It proves that you have long-term plans and you are serious about your business.

But there is no deadline Christie. You can do it whenever you want. You can move your siterubix site to an owned domain anytime

Hi Zed,

Thank you for a quick, concise and valuable reply!
I extremely appreciate it.

Kind regards
Christie

My pleasure!

Hi,

Hey Christie,

Sadly, some themes need extra plugins to function properly, so, yes, you will need to install them in order for your author box to appear on your posts (a great SEO option to include!) .

The One Click Demo Import plugin is if you want the EXACT layout you saw in their demonstration. If you have no need of that then you would not need this plugin.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hey Trish,
I appreciate your support.

So, in other words, I obtained a great SEO option, by accident, while I was playing with my themes. It is good to know that certain themes are better, by design.

I will install both of the plugins.

It was a pleasure to talk to you again. Always is!
