Creating a WebSite or Low Content Books?

A very good day to you all!

Here starts my second attempt because of an indesicive moment of not knowing if I should ask a question or create a post and losing all that I wrote before.🤦‍♀️

Normal day for me haha.

Yes, back to the question/subject!

I spend the last few days feeling like a YoYo toy..back and forwards!

I have been drawn to a different type of business and watching videos, researching, experimenting..or at least trying to!

I am talking about creating low-content KDP books for Amazon. I am sure everybody knows about that.

The thing that striked me are the steps you should follow before you actually publish that low content book.

Very similar with what I learned here on this platform, making a strategy, targeting low hanging keywords , using Amazon Search Result adding plugins, determine what niche you aim for, find out what people are seaching for and so on, learning, using Amazon Ads..

So I have been wondering, after I also read an answer of Partha to a question a member asked "What about pasting links and getting paid?"

He mentioned something that he has to rewrite a big number of articles that can take almost a year to do that because of Google Update.

The truth is I didn't understand all the terms that were used in that post but it got me worried...I hardly can keep up with finding great keywords, aiming to a subniche term and writting only about that for a while, and creating 1000 words articles with original content, images, videos, meta title, tags and so on.

I still have a lot to learn and I am finding out the meaning of some mentioned above, only from the numerous mistakes I realized I have in my written articles as a beginner.

So I can end up going back , editing, several times until I can have a proper article with small chances to be ranked on the first page of GS.

As Partha said about that famous basketball player, you have to fail in order to succeed.

But does this kind of failing worth it for me?

I am ready to fail, and to get up again, but if I can get to similiar outcomes by creating low content books and in the same time after doing a vigurous research for keywords and niches, focusing more on the visual and editing fun part, and actually creating something that can effectively can be touched, used, seen by a real person, like a colouring book for children and many many other examples.

People also look for that, a fun way to help them feel better, wouldn't that be a great way to build a business?

I don' t expect to get rich, I know that there is nothing certain in life, you can only try, each of us have their own targets and I respect that.

Just I wish for me to do something that I actually like( I am a more anxious person having ups and downs, creating content, thinking, rewritting, can really trigger that, even now).

Also help people have fun with my creations, and if that covers at least the part that I am investing as a begginer than I am more than happy.

That doesn't mean that I wouldn't want to grow and learn more, and I think there are no easy parts when trying to be "seen" in online world.

Each has advantages and drawbacks..and all requires time, patience, effort and consistency.

Maybe is just about what I choose for me now, what connects with my inner self, anyway I am aware failure is going to follow me in any path I choose, also I can choose to see it as a lesson, but that's part of the journey and I can't run from that, just have a different perspective when it happens.

So yeah, maybe the founder of WA should put a limit of words written here haha.

Let's say as a conclusion that I wish( it's a good time to make wishes also😇) to spend my Time of Today, 'cause that's all I have Now, with something that I really enjoy doing, like Michael Jordan right?

With the falls and failures ,still getting up because he loved what he was doing!

At least that's how I see it, we all have our own recipe for success!

PS: BETTER SHARE IT AS POST , WRITTEN AS A QUESTION LOL

Curiosity never ends for me, so curious to find out some of your perspectives about this subject :)

With Love and Respect for WA Community, Lucy!

Stop worrying and focus on one thing. You can reach out to Mel Waller through PM as he is very knowledgeable in this field.

Have a great day
Brian.

Thank you, will try my best!

A beautiful day to you too!

You are so right about this, Lucia!

Some inspiration below from Michael Jordan!

Jeff

Thank you!! Very inspirational indeed!🙏

I shot that image from a Sports Bar that I frequented quite a few years ago, and it has always resonated with me and encoraged me, Lucia!

Jeff

That's awesome, fear is one of my greatest "enemies" so it's always nice to feel supported and encouraged.😇

It is very important, Lucia! Believe me! You've got this, my friend!

Jeff

You are well covered here by Partha with some excellent guidance. Please let us know if you still have any questions.

-Mike

Thank you kindly! I have tons of questions but for some I have to answer myself! :)

Once upon a time there lived an 8th dwarf. oh yes, everyone thought there were only 7 dwarves, when in fact there was 8.

The 8th dwarf's name was Partharina, and she was a mix of many of the other dwarves, but mainly Grumpy, Sleepy, and Bashful.

One day Partharina saw someone building a wall.

She thought, "That looks like fun, I'm going to start buiding walls".

So, from that day forward Partharina was going to build walls for the rest of her life.

HOWEVER

One day later, Partharina was intrigued to see someone flipping omelettes in a frying pan, she thought, "That looks like fun, I'm going to start flipping omelettes instead of build walls".

So, once more Partharina set about on her NEW quest to flip omelettes.

This continued for a few weeks until Partharina saw someone painting walls.

She thought, "Well that looks like fun, I think I'm going to paint walls".

This process went on for over 2 years, and by the end of that two years Partharina had started 8 different projects, but NEVER STUCK AT A SINGLE ONE.

At the end of that 2 years all that Partharina had to show for her "hard" work was FAILURE AFTER FAILURE.

She suddenly realised that if she had stuck with building walls for TWO YEARS she would've been a millionaire by now.

Then again, when she first changed her mind, and if she had stuck to flipping omelettes that this too would've made her a millionaire.

Unfortunately, Partharina had been riddled by the disease of SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME.

"The grass is always greener on the other side" (Apparently).

In truth, Partharina never actually "failed" at anything because SHE DIDN'T GIVE IT HER FULL EFFORT OR WORK ON IT FOR LONG ENOUGH.

In truth, Partharina's REAL FAILURE was NOT COMMITTING WHOLEHEARTEDLY TO ONE THING.

Instead, she decided to flit from one thing to another, therefore meaning that NONE of the 8 things she tried ever really got her FULL ATTENTION.

Partharina learned that in order to be successful, YES, failure is a part of this, BUT you cannot judge something as a failure if YOU HAVEN'T PUT YOUR ENTIRE EFFORT INTO MAKING THAT A SUCCESS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Did Partharina understand that in order to become successful, she MUST put her heart and soul into something before "giving up"?

Unfortunately, she didn't!!

The moral of the story, choose ONE thing and GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

Those who flit from one thing to another without ever testing themselves will always feel slightly lost inside.

Partharina DID NOT live happily ever after.

THE END

Wow, inspiring story. Pick one thing and keep going till it is mastered.

Thank you, I am speechless, that was fun but also helpful to read!

Will see how my happily ever after will be :)

I KNEW that you had a female alter-ego, PP! I just KNEW it!

LJOB 😂

No need to be like that

Lord JENNIFER of Brown!!!!

Hahahaha!! :)

🤔😲🙀 What else can I say, PP? Touche'

LJOB

I love this story to get a great point across. So many people fall for that Shiny Object Syndrome unfortunately. I am one such person. But I am now here to stay, and I hope others stay to. Yes, it does take time to succeed but in life everything takes time.
Kevin

You are so right about this, Kevin!

Jeff

why not do both....
kdp low content books will not take that long to create ( once you know how to do them) then you are free to create more content....
is kdp an easy way to money....jsut ask the millions of authors who have stil lto make money...it is the same as affiliate marketing....
you will stil lneed to form a strategy to market your books...jsut because they are on amazon doesn't mean they will sell...
i have heard that if you create a series of books and offer the first one free on other paltforms then amazon will have to offer it for free as well and you can take advantage of people who like free...and then hopefully want ot buy others in your series....
so as you say it is just like affilaite marketing, but the rules don't change as fast...
the core of google ranking stays the same - focus on the visitor - and be very helpful...so if you stick to that you may have a few bumps but it will work out....

Yep, I didn't say it would be easier with kdp, I am aware that also with that comes google ranking and so on..and that same like here you need time and effort as I mentioned in my post.

But I am not sure if I am in the position to play with both for now..anyway learning is a process that takes time, each of us have our starting point, own rithm and knowledge.

That got me wondering if the person I am following on YouTube for this KDP lessons and tips has a website besides this KDP selling books business..

Just a thought..anyway thank you for your answer!

it is another skill and if you need a little time away from your site then definitely learn it...
and see how they market their books...
it's more amazon rankings rather than google for the kdp....
so you are satisfying both....
there are search engines that can search for amazon results....
and others that can show how many sales there have been....

Thank you, yes this guy I am following mentioned it in his videos, will keep in mind for the future all your advices , appreciate it!
