Ooops! I Just Slipped Out Of The Top 50
Oh no! I just noticed, Rank 51 - it's the first time I have been above 50 in a very, very long time! So here's a little something to chat about it, Ooops! I just Slipped Out Of The Top 50
Am I Hardworking?
What a question! I am harder working now that I have every been in my life! Here is what I am up to:
- writing eBooks (yes, more than one, they are completely unrelated),
- training (not as much as I should granted, but that's because of tech challenges!),
- writing a new email campaign - and learning how to do it as I go,
- built my first landing page this week (can't remember if it was Monday or yesterday),
- I am writing reviews and blogs at least every second day for my website
- posting to social media daily (Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter)
- joining tribes in Pinterest, pinning and following other boards
- following WA members, existing and new,
- welcoming new WA members when I have a gap,
- researching and joining new affiliate programs and affiliate networks
- assisting a friend with her SEO and website design - including looking for landing page options for her too
The above is only one aspect of my world, I am also employed and involved in charity work. So yeah, I would say I am hardworking.
Has My Focus Shifted?
It sure has! When I realized that I have written 62 posts within WA and less than 50 on my website, I gave myself a kick up the proverbial and decided to focus more on building content on my website - that is how I am going to make money.
Has it been a waste of my time to write so many posts within WA? I don't think so, if anything it has been great practice. Writing within the community has also built the beautiful relationships I have within WA. It's great grounding and an excellent contribution toward building an online business.
Where To From Here?
I expect to slip further down the ranks, that doesn't sit so well with the competitive side of me, however, I have to make my online business work! That's the direction I am headed - toward my successful online business. Haven't come this far to only go this far! It's time to get laser- focused and work toward generating an income!
Farewell Top 50
So it's with some sadness that I bid the Top 50 farewell, it's been great knowing you, but alas, I have to move onto creating my successful online business! I hope to be back adding value to this awesome WA community and climbing the ladder up to Ambassador level one day, but not right now, I have some other more pressing matters to attend to.
Not going too far though, would not know what to do with myself without this awesome WA Community!

Good that you have taken a decision on your way forward. As Kelyee says the top 50 ranking will be here when ever you want it, but if your current priority is elsewhere so be it. Good luck anyways and keep in touch on how its all going please.

You are absolutely a hard worker my dear and you are right also about being in top, it's a lot more hard work, because our focus is taken away from developing our own business...at least I will still see you around I think I will probably follow suit and try finish this boot camp...😉

Go for it with the bootcamp, I have hit a glitch because I don't have the video technology I need to continue, very frustrating! Have to get resourceful now and find a way through this.

I would say it's not all about the Rank :-) It's great to get to the top but that really is not what generates an income.

I always wondered how many hours your day is; you are here to give advice, meet the newcomers, have some great posts on your blog, here too, etc., etc. for me you are a landmark; whatever you do is good; competition is not with others, it is with you; there is a time when you need to analyze the priorities and change them

Haha! I have some advantages, a 95 word per minute typing speed is one of them :-) maybe you also learned to touch type with all your fingers and eyes off the keyboard, it really does help.
I will still be around - would miss this wonderful community too much otherwise. There is also so much to learn from participating in the community, so I'd never stay away completely.
As you say though, it's priorities. Once a whole lot of things are up and running, I shall have more time to play here again.

Hi Louise, great post! Looking at that list you have of stuff you’re doing...all I can say is...WOW! You are busy!
Our businesses are why we are really here, with the 2nd reason to help others...but we have to find a balance. Too much focus on ourselves can hurt our business too. But, the content you are writing will after all...be helping others in the long run.

Thank you for reading and sharing - and appreciating the post too. I love to be busy, so this suits me, it's also for a reason though, there are plans in place and the only way to get there is through a successful online business.
Yeah, balance is important, and you are quite right about too much focus on ourselves - good thing we write content to help others. Last Sunday was my first self enforced rest day of no work at all, nearly killed me haha!

Good post Louise, like you I got to #42 ages ago and was well impressed with that, but as you say, when you look at other factors, such as building out your blog & earning income, which for me is comes through other avenues... I wanted to create an authority blog, which I am doing and also continue building my list
So I decided in christmas last year, much as you are doing now, to focus on my list, and that the ranking would go up and down, which it does. Currently I am #60
In the scheme of things, I am happy to be top 50 and participate in the community by way of help and advice where it looks like its needed.

Thank you very much. Yeah, it's a bittersweet thing in a way, I do like having a top 50 rank, but not at the cost of why I am with WA. Gotta push my competitive self out of the way and keep focused now :-)
