What is a Google Featured Snippet?
Featured snippets attempt to immediately answer a user's question eliminating the need to look further. Hence, they're also often referred to as "answer boxes". You achieve additional brand exposure if your post is featured in Google search results.
Naturally, I've seen many featured snippets in the SERPs. You often hear the position referred to as position zero. But i was not entirely comfortable with the question, what is a Google featured image?

- They tend to take up the most space on the page
- With featured snippets, answers to queries are easier to find than ever before

Successful bloggers like Neil Pattel believe that earning featured snippet positions is a key to boosting conversions and traffic. To be honest, I hadn't paid an awful lot of attention until today when I felt compelled to do a bit of research.

When searching in Google today, I discovered my blog has earned a coveted featured snippet of the list variety.
I was excited by the discovery and it felt like a success I wanted to share.

I don't think I've had a featured snippet, but don't search rank enough to really know. I was looking for something else yesterday and found one of my older posts about 7th on Google's first page. Didn't even know it had been on there.

Yes I've had 4 featured snippets, but from the same post. Google don't let the same snippet stay on top forever, but my snippet are chosen from time to time.(mine is also a list snippet)
So don't be to disappointed when your snippet suddenly disappear, it will probably come back on top.
