"BANG is another expression of WOW!"
Just hit the 1K in Network for followers. Why does this excite me because they are followers no me following. I stopped following a while back. Then I was away for about 6 months and when I came back I really started to work hard at my website. I got in touch with friends again through PM and started Networking with them.
Friends here at WA can be a great benefit not just following their post but networking with them on their sites it was a real eye-opener. !WHY!
Because they lift up and support you especially those that are in the same line of work as you. My niche is not a niche that can bang out three or four posts a week it takes a lot of investigation and research to get authority. I knew that from the beginning but this is my passion and I want to get it right.
Not just a fly-by-night Website. I am not saying that their are fly-by-night web sites here at WA because that is virtually impossible with the work shops we have here. But I have seen some others pretty crummy sites out their.
Then people started to follow me "I thought OK," that's, different and I started to get some really interesting followers and made a hold lot of new friends and my networking has become an everyday work for me trying to keep up with my new-found friends.
Not only that comments to my site mounts up and I could see the Google, Yahoo and Bing were picking me up all because my friends here at WA supported my work and I them.
Comments that are like small blog posts that is how good they are. You see when you have some that are working in similar work they know what you are talking about and that opens up doors that are closed because site comments can be very hard for some that are trying to help but don't quite know what you are talking about and then they try to wing it.
Not that I have had bad comments only that you could see their knowledge about what you are doing isn't quite hitting the mark. So it is hard to make a conclusive answer.
This leads to hard feelings if a comment is rejected. I know it has happened to me. When I go to their sites I can really write to my hearts content because their work is similar to mine.
So you can see why I got excited about the 1K followers to me that is saying they are following because they like what I am commenting about on other posts here at WA or are newbies and follow because of your ranking. Ranking doesn't mean a lot to me I just like to really think about the answers I give and I found that I get a lot of great interaction with other WA members.
Sometimes it is hard to use the email system because their are so many. So I use the profile pictures to go see people that I haven't seen for a bit to see what they are up to. When I come across someone that I haven't seen for a while that are commenting on other posts then I just click on their profile picture.
I have made some great friends from all over the world it's it grand that we can do that. That way I can keep in touch a lot easier.
Something that I forgot to mention thanks all of you !k followers it has been a pressure working with you.

Always good to see a LindaF post.
Like the idea of checking in with others through the use of profile pictures. Agree that the emails are to numerous and make it difficult to respond properly/throughly at times. I can remember who wrote something on a topic only by their profile picture many times.

Good Morning Linda,
Since I started with my 2 websites in January 2017 I have come to realize there is a big difference between WA friends and "normal" friends. WA people understand what it takes to have a website and write for it. Normal friends have real difficulty with making a comment and often have never done that in 2 years.No use to say " a comment would really be appreciated " they just do not do it.
In my time here at WA I have built up a nice group of people and I hope to meet them in real life one day.

And I hope that I am one of those people Taetske. You are so right about "normal" friends every day people that we interact with in our homes, at the dinner table, there world is quite reduced don't you think.
Sometimes I feel quite isolated because WA has become my stomping grounds that I can truly interact with people that are on the same wavelength as me.
Isn't you that talked about wavelengths in a resent post. How about wavelengths in an every day life experiences.
I never thought that I would be-able to communicate this way, the pen was never my forte but it seams I have been able to develop this skill and it has become something very natural. not the spelling part but at least I have spell check and gramary

Hi Linda! Congratulations on your # of followers. You have hit the nail on its head when it comes to site comments.
Only just the other day, I chimed in on the recent complaints concerning such poor comments by saying
1. often, the person making the comment does not know enough about the subject matter to even make a reasonable response, and
2. certain members cannot distinguish between a site comment and site feedback and are often confused.
I had requested site comments with all 4 radio buttons clicked (such as inviting questions, etc.) and certain members would comment on the aesthetics of my site instead.

Linda, you are correct in the fact that our network here is so important because of encouragement and the commonality we have with those who understand us. I also think it helps to have a global feel when working on our posts and content for our websites. Different perspectives make us better overall.
